It is a great feeling to be very confused when reviewing the section on your own, and then, after watching a half hour of your videos, understanding the section very well. You are doing a wonderful thing.

@quareshmuah this is not cosine. it is hyperbolic cosine. (see the H)? it has nothing to do with cosine.

Those who keep on complaining that "pat,you should have said/pronounced it as this instead of that like i do?, pat why didn't u just make it as blah blah blah?" Bruh you should've made your own video we all have different styles in solving.😒

I thought product rule at the end is u(d/dx(v)) + v(d/dx(u)). Does it matter that you did it basically the opposite way?

hey pat your note correcting d/dx sechx has an error, it should say "this should say tanhx, not cothx!!!"

d/dx(cos(x)) = -sin(x), yes.

States in the beginning that for hyperbolics, sin, cos and tan derivatives will remain positive. Only a slight difference from normal derivatives

Did maths change or something? Isn't the derivative of tanhx = 1 - (tanhx)^2

1-tanh^2x = sech^2x. This can be done using proofs. Math didn't change, it has always been the same, you're just using a different format to say sech^2x, which, in my opinion, is highly inefficient.

Why not write is as (simplifying a step at a time) = sinhx + sinhx * 1/coshx * 1/coshx = sinhx + sinhx/coshx * sechx = sinhx + tanhx * sechx

If you don't like saying hyperbolic so much, you can refer to them as sinch, cosh and tansh.

You could say "sinch" or "cosinch" or "tanch" as I pronouce it, instead of hyperbolic (function)
