Hyperia is TESTING but should we be CONCERNED?

Hyperia has begun testing at Thorpe Park and the tallest and fastest UK coaster looks amazing, however there are still some concerns about this new for 2024 Mack rollercoaster!

My only concern is how hard the trims on the splashdown will hit... The coaster's length is what it is - it can NOT afford to have any buzzkill elements.

It’s got 2 sets of trim breaks before the splash down. First trim breaks are going up the second kill (after the 236 foot drop) and the second set are going up the 4th hill the that gives you hang time.

How many trains will be on track? Just 2? Then capacity will not be as high as Blue Fire, Silver Star or Taron. Star Trek in Movie Park Germany is a good example for being a pain in the a** concerning queuelines even if it is a great MACK PRODUKT. Movie Park Ride-operations usually start the day with just one train, and they release the second train only when the queue is 60 minutes or even longer. So Thorpe Park hast to do it better, and release the 2nd train early enough...

Problem with Thorpe, my local park im 20 mins away, is the size... so small, think of Alton, takes forever to walk anywhere so queues will naturally be shorter as people are all over the place

hyperia wont need a clearence test. you only need one if things come within a set distance. by the sounds of it everything is outside of this distance. im excited to ride on the 24th

On Saturday 4th of May, you should go on a trip to alton towers with Marcus, Dan, Tom and Chris from screwy loops. Can you also make sure that park spill, jackmsilkstone and Dominic garrdner go on the same day? And theme park worldwide. All of you should meet up on towers Street on the 4th of May just after 10AM (keep chugging time) and all 10 of us will have a race to forbidden valley.

My only concern is the sound it makes on the first turn out the station 😂 it’s not that the squeak is concerning me safety wise, but its certainly really annoying and hope it doesn’t keep happening once open. For reference watch a video of its recent testing from monks walk and you’ll hear what I mean 😂

4 weeks of testing ? Next week another Mack Coaster is opening to the public ... Voltron at Europa Park ... they are testing this beast since december ... But to be fair: LSM & turntable vs. Lifthill ... And they want to get a capacity of 1600 riders per hour, wich means they are running 7 trains.

@@edwardlack2578 yes ... Most of this extended testing is for Timing and staff as to get to that capacity they basically send a train out the Station every 36 seconds

@@edwardlack2578 but to be fair: Iron Manace is in the US and while I don't doubt the quality and craftsmanship of B&M, safety checks and inspections are nothing compared to the EU and specially germany... Oh, and don't forget the pressure the engineers get from marketing and accounting ... the old american problem: MONEY before everything else ... Just look at Boeing
