I have a question. do both the cloud alpha and alpha s have the same 3.5mm connection that plugs into the headsets? in another words are you able to use the original cloud alpha 3.5mm cord with the mute switch with the alpha s so I could mute my mic when chatting with friends? If so I am going to buy the alpha s.

They have bass controls on both sides to allow air to pass through to the drivers. It is not software based

They have two separate bass controls because this is a hardware setting, not a software setting. What it does is opening the cups to lt more air in which helps to reinforce the bass. This is a very good feature, the bass setting like so is true bass, not synthetic driver response tuning.

Im using the HyperX Cloud, highly recommended! The only thing I don't really like is the USB connection, I prefer the old 3.5mm jack, I have an internal Sound Blaster Z sound card and I can't use it as of now. Thanks for the review bro, much appreciated!

You can still use it without the USB 7.1, just plug it in straight from the 3.5mm jack cable because it's detachable

The reason the bass adjustments are on both ears is because it just allows the drivers of the headphones(speakers) to breath resulting to having a more bassy sound because the drivers have more freedom to the air which changes the acoustics. If you ever wonder why Sub woofers have a big hole in the front its there to let the air move and not be contained inside. And you also feel the air moving. That is how the holes on the Cloud Alpha S affect the sound of the bass. Edit : more freedom to move the air* lil typo but its alright 😅

Please help to decide: Steelseries Arctis Pro (wired) Or Kingston HyperX Cloud Alpha S I'll be using them for gaming but also for listening music. Also theres a lot of speculation of (both models) mic quality it doesn't bother me, what i need is max connectivity - able to connect to my smartphone, laptop and gaming pc. Great review! I've got a question: how loud is this headset when compared to others? I'm asking because I had a bad experience with one particular headset (Logi G35) when they switched to Logitech Gaming Software, the sound got normalised and the headset's max volume got reduced by around 25%.
