I had a super easy first labor. I naturally just relaxed and layed down quietly and didnt speak to anyone. I wasnt afraid. I had no idea what Hypnobirthing was. Thats just how I handle pain, I control it. And my labor was very quick, and I think that has alot to do with how relaxed I was. This second time, I want to make it even better and easier. So I want to learn more about this and see if I can do more.

Thank you so much for uploading this... I'm a low-income mama who can't afford $350 (!) to go to the local hypnobirthing classes... I was pushed towards Bradley method but that's so partner-centric (and my husband is not the most supportive of birth, he's very blasé about the whole thing,) I decided to look into other ways of natural birth... hearing you say that this can even be done alone really helps set my mind at ease.

It’s not consider a disease because women are the ones who have it but if you put the same symptoms in a man then it would be consider a disease and they would take time off work as sick days. Just think about it a man would go to work if he feels morning sickness, nausea or reflux.

Thank you so much for this amazing video! Knowledge is power. I'm halfway through my first pregnancy and I have been afraid of labor due to fear of the unknown. After watching this I feel super confident and I'm actually excited for labor and to meet my baby. I will keep studying hypnobirthing, this is truly the best way to have a wonderful birth experience.

Even though I didn't realize that was what it was called my first birth was a hypnobirth. I knew how to completely relax because of previous experiences with salmonella (which was about 1,000 times worse than any of my labors have ever been) and my gallbladder failing. With my 2nd birth I did the same until the midwife could tell my daughter's pulse was stopping during contractions. I had an emergency C-Section that saved her life. My 3rd birth was a planned VBAC but I was induced because my blood pressure was 210/120. I am under 8 weeks away from my 4th birth. I am going to once again try to do hypnobirth. I am very excited for this next birth These videos are a good refresher!!! Thank you!

Thanks for this wonderful video and all the free goodies you're sharing with us! :-) According to the World Health Organisation, C-sections are only medically necessary about 10% of the time... but in my country (South Africa) it's estimated that somewhere in the region of 70- 80% of all births happen by C-section (similar to the rate in the USA). And unnecessary C-sections come with all kinds of unnecessary complications for both mom and baby...:-( So, it's really empowering to educate myself like this and get back to the powerful mammal mamma inside me! Our firstborn should be coming sometime in Dec, and, with the help of resources like these, I'm getting more confident and excited rather than more scared at the prospect of a natural birth, so thank you again! Happy births to all the would-be parents reading this. xox

hi Alice, South African here too! and Lynn, thank you SO much for these videos. I really want to go for hypnobirthing classes however they are either too far away or at times that I am unable to attend :( I am fearful so I have ordered books and am now going to embark on your tutorials. I do get a lot of grief when I say I want a natural birth as though that in itself is unnatural! I love a woman's right to choose but for some reason my choice if frowned upon. I am using a birthing clinic and midwife :) thank you again so much for this video, its my first birth so I am practising yoga, pilates, and some meditation, eating super healthy, you would swear I am partaking in the birthing olympics or something hahahaha.

You basically described the birth of my first child to a T - I went into the process wanting a natural birth, but never really believing in my body's ability to do what it's meant to, thus entered the state of labor in a fear-state. After laboring drug-free for 56 hours at home, I was mentally and physically exhausted - this resulted in a non-emergent hospital transfer where I received first IV pain medication (which did nothing) and then finally an epidural...the farthest thing from what I'd envisioned for myself and my baby. I am now 3-4 weeks away from welcoming my 2nd baby and doing and learning everything I can to ensure that fear does not take over what can (and will) be a positive, beautiful, and manageable natural experience. So excited to learn more from your course!

@@HaoHao-zu6su yes I did! And hypnobirthing helped so much! My labor experience was so good I didn't know I was in labor until I realized the contractions were getting closer together, I thought I was just having false contractions. Through hypnobirthing you realize that the "pain" is just pressure and it helps to bear in mind that with each contraction, the baby is one successful step away from being in your arms. It also helped with delivery a great deal. I was able to remain in control of my body and take helpful cues from the midwife. Best part, I didn't get a single tear just a small bruise 😊. Hypnobirthing is amazing and even though I only discovered it within my last week of pregnancy, it helped so much!

Great video. I had my first baby vaginally, no drugs. But labor was LONG because I was afraid and was resistant of the pain. So even though I had what many would call a "good birth" I was disappointed in myself because I know my fear prolonged the birth. I feel strongly that Hypnobirthing was what was missing in the birth of my first child. I have another child due in 6 months and I just finished a Hypnobirthing book, am signed up for a class, and feel like I am on the right track this time. Thank you for your video! I, too, gave birth at home, with no fear, no drugs, no tearing...without assistance. I am enjoying this video in hopes of the next birth to be even easier. I want you to know that your natural response to "inoculations" as a child makes sense. Childbirth is normal and natural, vaccine injections are not. You said your doctor did not have a choice BUT to shoot you up. That's wrong. The doctor had a choice, and your parents had a choice. Every doctor and every parent today has the same choice...just like we each have a choice in where and how we give birth. Besides that bit...thanks for this nice little introduction tutorial!

I'm disappointed by the implication that I MANIFESTED a bad first labor. I went into my first labor having already done hypnobirthing techniques, I was very calm. Nice music, nice mantras. I was in a hot tub. I was so relaxed, that when it turned into an agonising no breaks between contractions situation, for many many hours, I was very confused and disturbed afterwards for a very long time. I had to be transferred to a better hospital for an emergency cesarean. I have an extremely high pain threshold, and am generally a very notoriously cruisy person... I don't react in either panic or excitement to much at all.. I just kinda go with things. Well, not this. It's also complete bull that it's being relaxed that stops you from tearing.
@Tuttifrutti930
@Tuttifrutti930 5 жыл бұрын
I think being calm can help but it can not overcome all difficulties. I was not afraid of labor, I am still not afraid of labor but both times I had a baby I had a tear. My second labor and delivery was unmedicated and very fast, about an hour and a half from first contraction to birth. I do not feel I was less or more afraid than with my first and still it was much shorter. I just want to indicate that mindset doesn't control everything in birth. Also we are mammals but compared to other mammals the size of the head and the size of the birth canal is a tighter fit than for most mammals so there is a biological reason why childbirth is a bit harder on us. Saying that the pain only comes from fear is also something I don't believe. I was not afraid and still it hurt a lot and I screamed. I do think there are different ways of dealing with this pain. Which is why I watched the video as I would love to be able to handle it more calmly if possible for my next delivery. I do think keeping women in a bed and hooking them up to monitors constantly so they can not move around and try to listen to their body is a problem and should be avoided. I just want to say that if you do scream, if you do feel pain it is not a failure. Everybody handles it differently and some labors hurt more than others. I think that should also be part of the video maybe. That whatever you do medicate or not be calm or scream, the fact that you just grew a baby inside you and gave birth to it is a great thing, it doesn't matter in the end how it happens.

I really wished I learnt about hypnobirthing when I was induced it would of helped me so much because contractions were so painful. When I had my 2nd she was natural and I was expecting the extream contractions that came with my 1st. No one told me being induced was 100× more painful! Hypnobirthing definitely would of helped me then x

Thank you very much ! I have been avoiding medical stuff, declining all the tests, ultrasounds, and a fetal Doppler . The midwife scared me that she might need to use the Doppler during my labour.... I am sure that I do not need it during my labour if I am calm enough and can keep everything under the control right ?
@jenniferalcock5604
@jenniferalcock5604 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Nikki! Seeing as the doppler is just a little wand they rub on your tummy, I would highly recommend using it. During labour, baby's heart rate is a good indicator of if the baby is going into distress. It won't hurt you or baby, and not monitoring your baby's heart rate could cause the midwife to miss the signs if your baby is in trouble! I think there's different variations of what the doppler can look like, but no version will cause you pain or adverse effects:)

@@jenniferalcock5604 Thank you !! I have been reading (of course lol) there are some sites out there got my attention about the Doppler and ultrasounds.... Well I also watched a lot of homebirth , more like freebirth ..... They used nothing during their labour. But I guess never know what will happen during that time.

My first birth suuucked!!! I roll my eyes at people that say ‘omg it was so nice! I just needed gas, baby came after a couple of pushes’. I’m happy for them but get fucked😂😂 My contractions were never regular from 3am my waters broke and contractions started, to 9:44pm when I had my son it just sucked! So I’m looking into hypnobirthing in the hopes that it won’t suck as much this time round!!😝

sad that it seems that you get free access to all material when you actually have to pay for a full membership. All that is free is just a repetition of this video on youtube. The most important are the mp3 files with meditation and those must be purchased ...

Everyone has rent to pay, food to buy and various living expenses. When someone works hard to put together something truly of quality and lays out many expenses to put this together, they deserve compensation. I'm sure you like to get paid for the work you do.

"Ask yourself Why for so many years baby have been born with no interventions?".... hmmm how many Mums died giving birth? Way too many. It was common back in the non intervention days.... just pointing that out. Loved this video, except for that one point.

+Michaela W thanks Miachela, as a healthcare professional I'm not saying intervention doesn't have its place, it's a life saver indeed when there is an emergency. My point is that when there isn't an emergency and no true need then unnecessary intervention can do more harm than good because of how it triggers the fear tension pain cycle. Many babies have be been born without intervention because when there is no medical emergency, you already have everything you need- I'm saying it is possible. I hope that clarifies that one point for you and thanks again for bringing it up! X

If a person has no way to get or afford private childbirth classes I can see how this would be helpful. However, if you have had childbirth classes and a baby before, then this video is information that isn't new. For ME, I did not find this video too helpful. I thought the first video was going to give me at least one tangible hypnobirthing tool or solid "take home point" or hypnobirth exercise or practice to use immediately. I've had 3 kiddos sans drugs with midwives and knew all the material presented already. I appreciate the video none the less but won't watch it again. I will look at the others and hope to find more of what I'm looking for.
