This touched me like nothing else. I am 53 and my 4 year relationship just ended recently and I have been suffering horribly with the breakup. I’ve been listening to your sleep meditations for the past 3 months after I began working on myself. 2 days ago I finally felt differently during another toxic argument and ended it, properly ended it. After 20 years of trying to leave and being talked back into it I feel so different this time. I put up with control, his addiction, lost friends and family and ended up with my whole life centred around his needs. I broke my heart listening to this. My boyfriend recently broke up with me & I’ve had to move back to my parents. (At aged 30 it’s not ideal) We got a new car together 2 weeks ago, holiday booked next year, plans for a bigger house, kids, marriage etc, etc. I blame myself as I have insecurities, lack self love, have anxiety and mistrust. He was more than patient with me and told me time and time again that he loves me, chooses me etc... but it wasn’t good enough for me. There are certain things that I didn’t like, things he said and done ... personally I think it showed lack of respect for me in a way. But I take full blame for being the way I am and I’ve ruined it with the man I thought was it for me, and me him. And now someone will make him happier than I did and it’s all my fault. I listened to this and I can honestly say that I needed to hear it ..... I will learn from my relationship and I will be more kind to my needs. I feel you.. I've been in your position too... I used to trust my ex when he told me he loved me... I was not a person who gets jealous whenever a girl talked to him before, and he was not happy about it because he was a very jealous person.. he made me end my friendship with my male friend who we worked with... he wanted me to show jealousy as it shows him that I loved him as much.. I just laughed it off at first... then he kept telling me things about girls who he says showed signs they liked him.. he wanted me to hate them.. long story short, he succeeded in making me hate one of our female co-worker... when we had a big fight I learned that he was saying bad things about me to our friends and co-workers every time we fought.. it was an on and off relationship... in the end I lost my trust in him... and now we're not even talking... Cutting the heart cord was extremely painful as we have had our hearts connected for 18 years! I knew it had to be cut! I finally did this fully. I bawled my eyes out. I feel better. I felt good about myself. I don’t feel so strongly about him anymore. I keep replaying cutting the cord. When I told those good things about myself, I stood on top of a mountain. A mountain of all the pain and horrible things I’ve experienced, standing my ground and being proud of what I’ve overcome. I then put a crown on top of my head. Then imagined this bright yellow light coming from within me and surrounding me. I looked at myself from an outside point of view and I had the biggest smile on my face. I felt happy, content and free. Free of pain, heartache, disappointment and suffering. I sat across from him yet I still had a good feeling within me and had the biggest smile on my face. He has no power over me anymore. He cannot hurt me anymore. I am not alone because I have myself. I cannot express how much this has helped me, but I will try. After years of betrayal after betrayal and chance after chance, I find it hard to reach out to friends and family. Slowly, I found myself slipping into the shadows, giving up on myself, accepting this must be my worth, which left me without hope and no option but to rely on the only person I felt I had (the cause of all my pain). This program is created with the attitude that the listener is working on themselves, owning their experience as a life lesson and accepting the perfection of what is showing up.
