I believe that watching experience in action, such as this, is invaluable to those of us learning. You can read about the technicalities of hypnotherapy, but for those of us visual learners, this was golden!

I'm glad I took the time to watch this. Amazing and powerful; left me very emotional, to see how John was able to bring the client into a feeling of hopefulness, which the client had been lacking for so long. It's so awesome to watch how a really experienced hypnotherapist operates. I'm so grateful I went to HMI and learned all that I learned and continue to learn.
@reggierodriguez65469 жыл бұрын
I'm a self taught hypnotist and I'm highly considering going to HMI for a certification course, only problem is that I've learned that hypnotherapy certification isn't required in most states and this is what's keeping me from going after certification.
@luzcalderon89099 жыл бұрын
Reggie Rodriguez HMI is like the "Harvard" of Hypnotherapy Schools. So if you are looking to become a Hypnotherapist, it's the way to go. BTW, there is a Distance Learning program if you are not from around here. I would highly recommend it. Contact Michele or Abi at 1-800-479-9464 or 1-818-758-2747 at HMI.

I would go just for a certification course, I just might consider being more of comedy hypnotist.

Reggie Rodriguez Whatever you decide, Reggie, I concur with +Luz Calderon that HMI is a very high-class school and you learn so much more than just "how to hypnotize." It impacts you in so many ways, spiritually and emotionally and more. I loved my time there and the teachers are the very best. They make all the learning fun and fascinating. I would say it's life-changing--it certainly was for me.

I believe it. In my opinion the two best hypnosis schools that I've researched are Hypnosis Motivation Institute and Cara Institute Of Advanced Hypnosis. What surprised me more about Cara Institute Of Advanced Hypnosis is that they requested me as a friend on google plus after I have left a positive testimony about the school.

@luzcalderon89099 жыл бұрын
Reggie Rodriguez Hello Reggie, Yes, I am a Hypnotist. I am attending HMI and was one of the students in this live case history with John Melton. I was blessed to witness this case study with John Melton Live. Are you a Hypnotherapist or are you looking for one?
@reggierodriguez65469 жыл бұрын
I'm more of a recreational hypnotist rather than a clinical hypnotherapist. I'm actually self taught, I've been studying hypnosis since 1996. I've always had a passion for hypnotism since I was 7 years old and it was up until I was 16 years old in 1996 that I've decided to study hypnosis. When I first started hypnotizing my first subject in high school, I used to use the pocket watch induction, then as the years went by I started to become more skilled and advanced. (I now use instant inductions) Then by 2004, I've learned how to hypnotize my subjects over the phone using progressive muscle relaxation induction. I would spend 20 to 30 minutes using the muscle relaxation induction. Now these days I use instant inductions over the phone as well. I've never read or use scripts, everything just comes naturally in my mind as I'm deepening my subjects trance. The only topics that I've studied about hypnosis were the inductions and confusion techniques, then I've learned that inductions are only a tool to distract or avert your subject from trying to prevent himself/herself from not by passing the critical faculty. It's even more profound if you actually go into trance with your subjects too because what ever you create in your mind, you're able to create it almost effortlessly in your subject mind as well. In contrast to just asking the subject what he or she is seeing. I'm based in New York (state)

Near the end comes the most important question of all. Perhaps Melton knows it is the most important. He must. The question "how is your HEART?" The question all soul-searchers have asked down through the millennia. The central question of moral-spiritual beings. The heart is the core of human totality and vitality in their most encompassing sense. Ideally, this individual would have woken up on an altar, a mountain top, or desert island, not in a studio in before inquisitive students.

Amen to fixing your nutrition and regular excercise, in fact investing into a nutritionist and gym/personal trainer before consulting a psyche who will instantly stuff you with meds and turn you into an addict, unless you feel its really an emergency. 6 months you will not recognize your past self.

Sorry to disappoint you, we never staged live demos. But we did bring in friends, family and existing clients to help us all learn from a practical session.

Todd's definitely a professional actor. You can tell the whole thing is scripted when he starts doing the quotes from Shawshank Redemption. I wonder how many different "patients" Todd plays per semester. They probably have to be careful to make sure that a student from one of these sessions doesn't sit in on a different one where "Todd" is playing a different person.

YOU could not be more Wrong. John Melton is one of my Instructors at HMI. Because of the knowledge and Education the ALL of the Schools Instructors have, There students walk away with the ability to enable our clients make a positive change in their lives & careers. So instead of being do doubtful look at the schools Website and see what possibilities are available to you and others.
@WendyWatson5 жыл бұрын
John Melton is that good as a therapist. I was in the classroom for 1 year watching multiple clients such as Todd. This (and any others from HMI) are not staged. However, some of the clients are actors because the school is very close to Hollywood.
@IAmFrankieA4 жыл бұрын
Who cares? At the end of the day students leave this school and do this with REAL clients on a daily basis. I’m an honors graduate of the school and I’m a physician. I am grateful for learning at this school and am helping my mental health patients even more than I was ever trained for in med school. Your pessimism could benefit from some therapy.
