It's very difficult for mental health professionals to help people like Sappho because they're very good at saying what therapists want to hear. MAPs on Twitter call themselves "non-offending" and whine constantly about wanting to get help but when people try to help more often then not it turns out they don't really want help at all, they're just saying what they think everyone wants to hear. Most MAPs can't be helped and don't want to be. Seperating them from society really is the only option in a lot of cases.

so, i remember being on "anti zoo twt" when she started popping up again. many other zoos started to pop up as well and it led to many "spaces" happening on twt. "spaces" are basically a room where ppl can talk, there's the host who could give two spots for co hosts and bring up speakers. in these "spaces," zoos would come in and we would basically debate with them or ask questions. many of them didn't really have any answers and many believed animals could consent to doing things with humans. they're still on twt just not so outspoken. @@nalcarya as someone who’s been in a psych ward before as a patient, phones are not allowed under any circumstance. 99.999999% (since idk about every facility, just mine and some others) of the time you must be checked for a phone. I remember someone I knew for a bit sneaking an iPod touch in a plastic bag that they shoved in their… Y’know… Since that was the only way to get it in. It was also the only way to keep it from getting stolen/taken. People get desperate. Especially at the children’s facilities, which is even sadder. There may not be a need for restrictions, but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re not allowed (again, in almost all places since Idk about all places).

@@NotFckingBen two of the wards I've been at allowed phones, but only for a short while (usually like 10 minutes a day if the patient was behaving extra well and was at the ward for atleast 2 weeks if i remember correctly) One of the wards even allowed us to take our phones to the garden area for emergencies, even though people usually just used their garden time to try and find a spot that had wifi so they can text people or watch movies, as we werent allowed to watch movies that the caretaker people didn't want to watch or anything that was over fsk12 (movies for 12yrs and up) or involved violence, drugs, sex and so on (which sucked cause i love horror movies but i get it ig)

Idk how it is in America but in the uk when you are checked into a psychiatric ward they confiscate your phone. They only give it to you to make a call but even then they’ll have someone with you to make sure that’s all you use it for. Some are chill and maybe let you message friends on Discord or whatapp but they would never let you use the internet or social media platform.

what keeps me from believing she's ever tried to legitimately get psych help is that she can't make the bare minimum progress of accepting the unextricable immortality of her philias or whtvr, i'm not an advocate of thought policing, its beyond my control and interest what happens in her mind, its the intention of minfesting it outwardly and even encouraging it to a degree, she chooses to bring danger to others for selfish reasons, its disturbing that her best argument for why she wouldn't act on certain thoughts is that breaking the law is the problem i worry she can just move somewhere with looser legal protections for her targets :/
