This is a great video and shows exactly what I've experienced. Unfortunately a lot of the consultants I saw didn't recognise adrenal insufficiency so I was lucky to be prescribed fludrocortisone based off symptoms from a sympathetic doctor. This helped me a lot. But it would be a good to be looked at by someone who knows what they are looking for.

Good video, I struggle without taking a small handful of salt throughout the day and I feel even worse if I drink water. Sodium tests came back normal so the doctor isn’t really interested. I think it’s low aldosterone and water retention. Also suffer with low blood pressure. Any recommendations?

I have secondary adrenal insufficiency and I always have symptoms of hyponatremia. Including seizures (that only affect speech and give me involuntary movements). I dont like to drink salted water but there seems like there is nothing else i can do.

Hello. I also have secondary adrenal insufficiency and suffer badly from hyponatremia. My Endocrinologist has prescribed for me .2mg fludrocortisone in morning and .1mg fludrocortisone at lunch to help retain the salt. Otherwise I have very low blood pressure causing fainting spells, heart palpitations and fatigue. Sounds like you need to talk to an Endocrinologist about this. I also have gastrolyte and salt tablets and 3 litres of water a day. Without the fludrocortisone I was drinking 6 litres of water with salt just to stay functional. Hope you find a suitable fix for you.

That means you need to be on a dose of fludrocortisone. You need a better endocrinologist.

An error occur, please try again later. (playback ID : SVbpd8-6XOE1AjSr) This appear on your video screen when I click on your video. I enjoy learning from your valuable video. In fact, I was hoping very much to watch the Hyponatremia and heart failure/disease. No problem for some of your old video, I check into your new video eg the Hyponatremia and heart failure, the same problem happen. I check my computer but no problem with other sponsored video such as those produced by Dr Sanja Gupta. May be you can check your side and inform me after it is rectified. Have a nice day.
