I think way more people would like the ordinary’s aha/bha peel if they left it on their skin for less time. The directions say 10 minutes, but I leave it on for 4 or 5 minutes. I don’t have especially sensitive skin, but I see better results with that particular product with less time

For folks who have not tried Paula’s Choice BHA 2 percent (it’s available in gel form also) it is unbelievably effective. Because of what it did to my skin, 4 other coworkers tried it and they had the same results…it’s freakin’ magic. Now, some people can use it more frequently than other people. I can use it 4 times a week. People I know use it 3x max. once you have your tolerance level, you will love it.

For me, Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is a pass. I wanted to like it so much and maybe I got a bad batch, but it felt weirdly greasy and sticky on my skin yet weirdly dried me out and I expected it to be hydrating due to Gothamista (I am dry and acne prone). I deeply appreciate how you started me out on my skin care journey 3 years ago. But CeraVe, Paula’s Choice, and the Ordinary made my face so painfully dry, tight, irritated and itchy! The formulas also felt lackluster and uncomfortable on the skin. Everyone’s skin is different but I’m glad you helped me discovered other skincare influences that aren’t restricted by fragrance or chemical sunscreens, because it allowed me to find products that make me feel hydrated, safe and luxurious. I’m happy to announce that I’ve found my repeat skincare ride or die products and my painful acne and scars have vanish. Although I don’t consume your content anymore or agree with all your mythos, you really taught me so many amazing things that help me make informed skincare and consumer decisions.
