Hysen Pulaku Clean and Jerk series from June 1st, 2012. This was a brutal session which started at 530PM and ended after 11PM.

Thanks again for these videos. Love showing them to my friends and promoting the sport. Most people have no idea the kind of weight lifters like Hysen are putting overhead. They are always blown away when I tell them the total.

At 0:20 seconds Hysen does an overhead squat with a very narrow grip, the same grip as if he were holding a jerk overhead. Has he always had the shoulder flexibility to do that, or did he have to work towards it?

Did you skip some attempts or did he really go from 70 to 150 in the first training and 120 to 200 in the second?

How does Abadjiev know the difference between a true injury and just something related to the adaptation process?

During the adaptation process, the entire body hurts, not only a certain part of the body. An injury is a certain muscle or joint.

We have not posted anything above 205kg but let's just say his goal is much higher than 205.

His body adapts to the training. If it cannot, he would never have any chance to win a medal.

Appears as though Hysen's not too far from being able to nail 205k on a fairly regular basis; he's so close in most of his misses. 205k's his current PR, yes?

Hysen does not do any extra work for shoulder flexibility

very very brutal and all the respect to hysen. but, who the h*ll is it possible he's not getting injured? :D all the pressure on the shoulders (rotator cuff)..again and again and again :D ...

Skipped 120kg.
