I'm really impressed with how quickly Hytale has been progressing. Most people don't even understand a grain of the underlying complexity of the hytale engine. Building an ECS based engine, with SO MUCH versatility is very impressive. I hope hytale can continue to deliver on the future without compromising on the engine's developement, like overwatch 2 did.

I think Hytale might flop, though. But it all depends on how successfully they market the game. They spent wayyyyyy to much time R&Ding and might not be able to make back their initial time investment because they’ve been very poor at sustaining the amount interest in the game since release. But I might be completely wrong… we’ll see.

I get developing a game takes time, but jesus, we're about to enter this game being developed for 7 years. Just polish the game enough where it's optimized and at a playable state. Then just update it as you go. You already have enough content to satisfy players with the vast verity of bosses, mobs, world building, terrain, and so on.

@Pixel-Jam Yeah. Originally, they were making Hytale because they couldn't add the stuff they wanted on their Minecraft server. But trying to he a competitor against Minecraft is a death sentence. Cause RN they already have quality content that makes them stand out more than Minecraft. Like their combat system. I agree they need to stop adding and just polish the game.

This is probably the first game most of Hytale team have worked on so they haven't matured yet as a efficient game dev studio, it's natural to take such a long time to complete an ambitious project, besides, they had to rewrite everything to the new engine after developing so much already, which certainly halted their progress. I feel like the pc version might be ready to release or at least ready for beta test, but they probably want to release on mobile and console at the same time as well, and these two might be taking more time to polish since they use completely different set of tools and demand new systems.

this gameplay only shows creative tools, it's not really a gameplay, pretty much they placed health bar in creative mode and called it a gameplay. I wanna see more combat personally and exploration, to know what this game will even be about because right now I think devs don't even know what to do with this game and this may be why it is being in development still. also it is kinda sad how long it takes for them to develop this game and don't even give any beta, even the hype for this game kinda died, I would gladly play the unfinised version of the game even if it's barebones still.
