Thank you Sir! Worked like a charm on my 2012 Genesis sedan. First side took about 45 minutes because I was being overly cautious, second one only took 20 minutes literally👍. I did figure out on the second side it was much easier to remove the bottom insert using a small very thin bladed flat head screwdriver as opposed to a razor blade. My daughter is happy now, Thanks again for the video!

Hey Matt, Just wanted to thank you for making this video. It helped me fix this problem on my 2014 Equus. The 2014 thru 2016 Equus mirrors have some differences in the bezel surrounding the actual mirror glass but not enough to make it any harder. This video was very helpful and now my mirrors work perfectly. Thanks

Hello Matt, i received my gear set from China. it took 3.5 weeks to arrive. Thank you for the instructions. The 2016 is slightly different, but was able to move through the repair. Thanks.

Thank you for this video. I completed the process today on my 2015 Equus Ultimate. Mirror works like new. Some minor differences with the 2015 model but not much.

Wow, I have a 2012 genesis 5.0 with the same issue with the mirrors. I don't think I have the aptitude to do what you did in the video but I assumed it was a cheap part gone bad. Oof. Thanks for making the video though! Definitely no need to replace the whole mirror lol

You can do it. I just followed the video and an hour or so later, done on both sides on my Genesis Sedan. Less than a $20 fix with better, metal, aftermarket parts. Try that at the " Stealership"😉

Good work! Two questions: 1- is the gear compatible with 2014 Equus Ultimate? 2- Can I access the motor part by just removing the mirror? Seemed like it from your video.

1. I believe the parts are all compatible. 2. The motor is buried inside the mirror, disassembly required! Thank you and best of luck to you brother

Hi Matt.I need to replace the outside chrome molding and the inner liner (5.45) for the passenger side mirror (equus 2013). Can you please let me know where I can find these parts ? or at leat the parts numbers ? the dealer seems to be able to provide the complete morror modul ONLY not separated parts ... At 5:54, no need to pop out that plastic bezel/trim as it will be removed with other piece once 4 screws are removed.

At 4:15, we don't need to remove that piece of plastic. It fell after removing the 3 bulky screw.
