I just bought the 2022 Kona SEL FWD trim in cactus fern (blueish gray color) 30city 35hwy It's so much fun to drive. Perfect for city driving. I love the Hyundai 10 year warranty and the other warranties. The best warranties in the mkt.

I just bought the 2021 Kona I got the Thunder gray which I absolutely love it sparkles in the sunlight I really love my car the only two things that I would like to change maybe three I wish it did have a liftgate I wish that the steering wheel was up just a little higher and I wish that there was a button that you could make the gas and brake pedal go up and down for taller and smaller people other than that I absolutely love it

The 2021 Limited version has the shark fin antenna too. I think I made the correct decision of choosing the 21 Limited because I hate IVT/CVT and that starts on the 2022 version.

The Limited and N-Line 2022 models have the 7-spd dual-clutch though, and I've gotta say I'm a big fan of it, as I just got a black '22 Limited in AWD. Feels great at speed (if somewhat jerky from 1st to 2nd gear)

I got the 2021 sel plus someone totaled it after me having it for literally 4 months AFTER I got side swiped luckily I had insurance and now have the ultimate. Only complaint is that it is a magnet for dings both in the trim and the paint. Not sure what to do about that. I LOVE that I can park it anywhere

Prefer the look of the 2021. The 0% financing available on the 2021s made it a no brainer for me, just bought a 2021 Kona Essential AWD, great bang for the buck.

Are you aware of the Recall on Kona for the Engine?? Be careful I heard it's serious it can cause engine seized up. I couldn't find which engine so it's best to do your research and get a loaner!!

The bottom “tusks” on the 2022 doesn’t look good. But I like how the grille looks bigger though. The 2021 (and earlier) design is better IMO

If you can stay away from the 2022 because: The transmission and the start/stop feature (worst invention ever!!)...Hopefully the 2023 will have an option to disable that start/stop feature. I have a 2020 kona ultimate, 1.6t 6 speed dual transmission which makes this car very fast. On the 1.6t you get an upgraded suspension and more !! It has all LED lighting and a "TON "of safety features. It came with blue links that starts the car, locks the doors, sets the air or heater on, turns on the heated seats and heated steering wheel. Try and buy a very good used 2020 or 2021.

LOL...if you look at the 2021 model in a different color, you'll see that the front end has a lot more of the cars color exposed than the 2022, so (other than the black) whatever you're complaining about for the 2022 will look worse on 2021.
