@@binaryeagle4331 for that much money, I can run i20 for lakhs of kilometers including all expenses. First buy an electric vehicle then buy/repair batteries after some time. It is a costly affair too.

@@green_life7 for me its not costly at all, I have drove my electric scooter for 10,000 kms and not even spent Rs. 1000, if it was a petrol then I would have spended more than Rs.20,000 plus it doesn't causes pollution and that's best fact for me, If people can buy 35 lakh fortuner or endeavor then why don't kona?

@@binaryeagle4331 scooters and cars are different and secondly it is india, here all fault is put on customer. So electric cars are still a bleeding edge and I don't suggest to buy them for *huge* money. The cost they are claiming to save in fuel is already going through our pockets as they are so expensive to buy. Scooters are similarly priced as petrol varients but these cars are many times priced. Rest is your decision.

Hmmm... finally another EV debuted in India. And I’m not really impressed with the entire idea of electrification of Indian automotive industry without establishing the infrastructure and, most importantly, checking the price at which they are sold in India. Regardless of the automotive industry going in the right direction with inception of EVs into the market, India still is not really ready for EV - neither infrastructure wise nor price wise. Automotive industry in India should know that India is more of a price sensitive market than environment sensitive. And without proper infrastructure, which is sine-qua-non for EVs just as gas/diesel is for IC engine cars, buying an EV is absolutely a dud idea as of now. Further, with government not really giving a considerable incentives on EVs more than just on the paper, things certainly are not much in favor of EVs in India unless one is square headed to buy an EV without doing proper homework. EVs in India are more about making statement than making numbers in the current date, let alone saving environment.
