Thanks for your detailed explanation. In my case the horn and steering wheel controls work again after changing the clock spring, but the airbag light remains on. Any suggestions?

Excellent video, I just had the airbag light on and I think it's the clockspring. Thanks to your video I will be able to save $$ and replace it myself! Quick question: After replacing the clock spring, did the airbag light turned OFF? or do I have to take it somewhere to reset the light?

my replacement is making noise when i rotate the wheel. could it be the main bolt thats not torqued at the right pressure?

is there not a steering angle sensor on the old clock spring to put on the new one? or is it mounted behind the clock spring on the steering column.

There is no need to do this if your car is less than 15 years old, Hyundai will replace it for free under CLOCK SPRING WARRANTY EXTENSION (TXXA) TSB
