Thanks to this video I just saved myself about $5,000. Hyundai dealership said my car needed a new engine as the running chain had stretched. I brought my car home, removed the VVT solenoid and saw that it was defective. Car runs like new again after replacing it now. You guys are awesome!

I've gotten this code twice now, and both times now it's been because of an overdue oil change. I had a mechanic friend look at it and he said yeah, if the solenoid gets overly fouled by old oil, it can cause it to read incorrectly. Changed the oil and cleared out the code and it's been fine both times. Just make sure you get your oil changed on time guys, don't be lazy like me lol

hello I have code p0014 on my hyundai accent 2016. the check engine light is on the car consumes and makes noise. I therefore changed the engine oil and the filters, the noise continues and the engine check is still present. I removed the two sensors I tested with the multimeter 8.5 ohm each and with the battery the test was good. the connectors also 9V each. I noticed that the two sensors in their middle there is a filter but they are drilled, can the hole still create this anomaly? Thank you for answering me

*on my 2012 hyundai genessi 2.0t coupe i replaced the engine oil and replaced the camshaft and crankshaft sensors and i already did the timing. Everything is good and still same code p0014. The car only has 119k miles*

I had this problem for 3 months still wont fix. I changed the oil three times already, Changed the intake and outtake camshaft two times but still wont work. At first the problem was P0304 spark plug which I replaced and the car was fix but after 2 weeks passed by, P0014 came out of no where. Then another week P0304 came back while P0014 was still active, At this point the problem is not the spark plug because this is my third time switching it out. It just delays the problem, But I think something is wrong with cylinder 4 im not to sure. Please help me. btw I have a Hyundai elantra 2017, 4 cylinders

@@kevinhodgkinson3557 my fuel injectors were just clogged up. I figured this out after I added fuel injector cleaners to my car and the problem went away immediately. Then afterwards I got them replaced now my car works like brand new.

@@omgnogod666 Was mid summer so they would have probably been off. I also was not driving or in the car when it happened. We ended up getting a free engine from Hyundai on a 2016 Sonata due to the class action lawsuit that forced a lifetime warranty. They asked for all the oil change invoices, said only need enough to prove you do them regularly if some are missing its fine. Then 5 days after I took it in I had the car back with a new engine and paid nothing. Had a few other things replaced since they said the labour would be free, just paid for parts.
