Hyundai Tiburon Door Handle Replacement Second Generation (2002-2008)

This is a 2007 Hyundai Tiburon GT The door handle broke off the outside drivers side of Dawn's car. We decided to be nice and order a door handle for her off of Amazon. Check the link below for the drivers side door handle. You will need a 10 MM socket and a ratchet extension to get the bolts out of the door handle, a Phillips screwdriver and a flat head or pry tool. You may want to get some spray paint at your local auto parts store. or find it online. Try and get a close matching color if you can find it. Here’s the missing info guys: Once both bolts are out, you'll want to loosen the lock cylinder. Turn it to the left a little and pull it away from the door handle. Then disconnect the plastic clip and remove the rod that controls the door mechanism. Just push it out to the right.

shouldnt step #1 be to put the yellow tabs on the door handle and insert the pin, THEN #2 attach the handle with springs and mechanism to the faceplate? I installed the handle and realized your next step should have been #1

It was a piece that came with the new handle. In your video at 0:41 it is in the top left corner on top of the yellow washer like piece and the rubber piece so the handle retracts quietly @@AwesomeDocumentary

Just take it to a shop with the parts. My shop did the handles inside and out for 150 buks. Well worth it.

Because it took us a about an hour to figure it out and we weren't going to take it back out to put it back in there to show it on camera because it was done. However I did go on to explain how the Lock has a tab that goes into the groove on the plastic part. Understand your frustration, Sorry we didn't show it.

i had this car, the plastic parts and door handles etc are as cheap as they come, toy cars at walmart are made of better plastic, seriously
