I miss the original Kick the Buddy from 2012 without the microtransactions Edit: to elaborate, in 2012, KTB was originally developed by a company called Crustali, they were small but they were the original creators of KTB, their games had microtransactions but weren't forced down your throat as well as random ads every 20 seconds, they had tons of other versions, such as an office version where Buddy looks like a boss, with a gray suit and balding orange hair, and the Halloween version, eventually the studio shut down and passed their game to another company called Crazylion, Crazylion ended up changing his name to "Buddyman" and merging all the game together into one big game which had all the weapons, but it cost money, however around 2018 or so, they also shut down and passed the game to Playgendary, who proceeded to run the game into the ground with microtransactions, ads, and also their own annoying ads, including the infamous "Haha Gay!" ad, they reinstated his original name and outfit, but now Buddy has fallen into the greed of mobile game developers. R.I.P Buddy and Buddyman 2011 - 2018

Fun Fact:, a Gorgon turns the living into stone, and specifically there were three Gorgons in Greek Mythology, the sisters Stheno, Euryale, and of course, Medusa. Nowadays in fantasy, the word gorgon just sorta refers to any monster that has a womanly appearance with snake hair and the ability to turn those who look at them into stone. So the devs were right to call it a Gorgon.

Also, if I remember right, Medusa was the only one of the Gorgon sisters that was mortal. So, as far as I'm aware, all three can turn those that look at them to stone.

I remember wanting this game so bad as a kid until I got an ad where the buddy was taunting you and what not. Usual stuff for the most part. But right when I was about to either A, exit the ad or B, kick the buddy because it was interactive, he said something along the lines of “please don’t hurt me! I’m a pacifist”. That one line made him go from “cute doll that I can throw around!” To “this poor doll is suffering, I wish I could save it”. I never had any interest in the game afterwards, and I’m not sure if kids dropped it after getting the ad or the downloads went down, but I haven’t seen that line in a single ad since.

Never heard of this game before, but it seems very similar to an old Flash game I grew up with on Newgrounds called "Beat the Buddy". It's funny how you mention in this video that you wish there was more interaction between the weapons, because that one did have that kinda thing; it was old and a Flash game, so there wasn't a *whole* ton of stuff, but if you had a bunch of objects out and then used a flamethrower, the flammable stuff would light on fire. It was also really cool how everything had physics, so using explosives would knock the other objects around too, usually bouncing around and maiming the buddy. Best part was it was free, and all the stuff was unlocked exclusively by money made from beating up the Buddy, which could also get you weird little skins for the Buddy, like I think one of them was Bill Gates for, honestly no reason. Shame that this new version has microtransactions, like everything else nowadays.

FYI about the fire extinguisher - what's in it depends on what kinds of fires the label states it's supposed to put out. The most common fire extinguishers utilize carbon dioxide, water, ABC dry chemical, Halon, Purple-K chemical, or firefighting foam. The one the game seems to use is the stereotypical CO2 extinguisher.

Kick the Buddy is honestly a complete crapfest. Buddy instantly dies, an ad plays every time one of your cells die, half the stuff in the store are micro transactions, and the other half tell you to watch fifty ads to unlock a T-Rex or something. I remember it used to actually be fun.
