I made the lps german inspired shepherd model near the start of the video. I made it a long time ago which is why it isn't super accurate to the original figure (because I wasn't too good lol) I'm still experimenting with 3D printed LPS style figures but I just do weird animals now. If I ever get super good at replicating the style of these I'd like to start creating replicas of real lps for people to be able to print and use

If you can figure out how to make neck plugs you could also just make molds of your fake lps, or real ones once you’re practiced, and than fill them with resin or sculpy. I saw a 3d model of an lps neck plug on Thingiverse, but it didn’t come with the middle peg, or the spring. (but I hope you’d be able to cut a spring from an old pen and use that)

This is so cool!! I'm also experimenting with 3D printing LPS, I'm working on some original models and once I perfect them I'll post them to Thingiverse! If you want your 3D printed LPS to be heavier, you could crank up the infill in the body to 100%, which would also help with the structural integrity.

Huh, I wonder how the status of LPS models have changed in the past year...? I've been considering doing a video that's a "how to" on replicating old toys and I even got my childhood LPS from my sister as references. So I've been looking into LPS and found your channel. It looks like the replica great dane, besides having a smaller muzzle, is missing the cute lil wrinkles on its forehead too. It's often the subtle details you can't see from directly in front / directly in profile that get missed. (Not that that falls on you, and I think the sculptor did a good job- it looks like they don't do LPS normally as well) There are apps you can get on your phone that will scan 3D objects, although I think you need a bit of modeling knowledge to fix up the models usually before printing.

I don’t really like the 3D printed one but with improvements the mold could def get better

my partner has a 3d printer and we've recently tried printing out a cute LPS inspired dragon, but even after sanding im struggling to paint it well. its almost like the paint won't stick! im not entirely sure if you're using a different kind of filament or if my technique is just wrong 🤔 im gonna be continuing to experiment, but if there was any way to make a video about painting 3d printed models specifically and going into how that all works, that'd be so so so helpful
@cobalt.studios Жыл бұрын
Hmm weird, I’m not sure why that would happen because you should be able to get paint on any surface after getting down a dry brush later to help it stick. It would be that you’re not letting it try completely between takes, or just your type of paint in general? If you still can’t figure out what to do, I suggest spray painting it with a primer

Whoa whoa whoa, what ever happened to that incident in 2021? If y’all do not know what I am talking about, I will explain. On July 15, 2021, this guy posted a video about how some person stole “his” design. ( it was Alberto from Luca). Back then, I felt sorry. Of course I was a little bothered by the fact that he copied a design and character that was not his, and especially saying that plagiarism is wrong (Even though he is doing it), but for the most part, I felt sorry. But then this guy decides to do it AGIAN and copy Hasbro’s design in this video. I hate how he thinks that he can just copy a big company’s work without giving ANY credit , and THEN has the audacity to complain about someone stealing HIS design. This is not ok. What I also find annoying is that in that video, he says that he took his own “liberties” with the design. Keep in mind, he says this as if it makes it ok for him to copy a design and “change” a few things. Now listen to this. The artist who copied the custom said that they changed the position of the tail of the custom. Then he has the audacity to say that just changing the position of the tail does not make it different. How hypocritical. I find it sad more people don’t know about this.
