the gameplay is great but in my experience the community has no tolerance of newer players and really would just rather complain about how you didn't wake up magically good at a game you've never played instead of trying to help their teammates also I don't like how you seemingly can't make your squad private so you and you're friends can just chill and try and learn together

Bit of a stretch calling this a simular, but HLL definitely is a decent game between arcade shooters like Battlefield and actual mil-sims.

It is very good on any platform, though it is true that the optimization issues on certain maps, especially Stalingrad, hold it back slightly.

It’s a semi regular occurrence in hll that there will be complete comm outages so you can’t communicate with anyone in game

Once you find a good server and get to know a few people, that's when you're able to get some consistency with the comms imo
