I Accidentally Found Love In The Metaverse

It was hard to explain to my parents how we met in virtual reality so I made this video. This is the story of how I as a blind person wanted to experience the metaverse, VR Chat, to make friends who value accessibility, but I did not expect to meet a friend who would become my girlfriend.

This is so touching. I am a vivid vrchat player and I met the love of my life in the metaverse. Have been with him for over 2 years now and never been happier. He has been so supportive as I am strugeling with vision loss. I was diagnosed 2 and half years ago with Autoimmune Retinopathy and I have lost so far about 70% of my vision. I am scared and I felt lost until I met my Boyfriend in Vrchat. So happy for you guys :D

Amazing. Doing something outside of your comfort zone and trying to meet and bond with new people at the same time is difficult. Meeting Dil and her friends was a stroke of luck, really. Great how that chance encounter and bonding in VR translated into a full relationship later on. This was a great story, and I'm glad you shared it.

I met my current partner in VRChat. We met in real life and have been together over 2 years now! I have spent over 5 years hanging out in virtual reality with people, so I felt this video on an emotional level. I have made irreplaceable connections with people, and have met a lot of VR friends in real life!
