You are a creative, and I think you may be limiting yourself with the 3D modeling. It is not as scary if you are doing some simpler assets (structures are easier than characters, for example). It can take hours and hours to find good models that fit the vision of a game. In the long run, if you put that same amount of time into learning to model, you might find yourself having an easier time modeling than looking for assets. As someone who started on Maya, way back in 2004. Later I learned some of 3DsMax, Modo, ZBrush, and some Cinema4D. Now I mostly use Blender. It's free. It's shockingly easy. And that's not just because of my history with 3D, they really made a lot more of intuitive. There's a single huge hurdle in the start, in grasping it, but once you get through that hurdle, you're one tutorial video away from the next step, every time.

Well, thank you for believing in my abilities! I may explore 3D modeling in the future. I already know the concepts, and I actually did make a few simple objects in blender that were specific to my game and couldn't be found on the internet. Also, when I was working on the houses, I was modifying some of the geometry and UVs, so you could say that I'm already halfway to learning 3D modeling 😅

You know the math textbook is fake because it didn’t make the desk collapse under its weight ^^ Really cool content & editing; I really wish you’d showcase more of these houses - the approach seems to really pay off!
@TamaraMakesGamesКүн бұрын
LOL, it could be a book with a very small font size, you know. And that desk is quite sturdy 😂 I'm really glad you enjoyed the video! You know what, I should have shown more of the houses, they turned out amazing. I'll definitely be sharing more of them on my other social media platforms or in my next videos.

Is there any chance that we can get a video about the PCG-Graph? I was struggling to efficiently insert meshes and materials and especially randomly select them, so for now I switched to raw C++ (for the buildings at least)
@TamaraMakesGamesКүн бұрын
So I probably won't be making a tutorial on this, but there are some excellent videos on PCG out there. And it's relative a new thing, so hopefully, more advanced videos will be popping up soon.
