The issue is the uptiers as you’ll be facing vehicles with PD Radar, and better performance overall, like the F-14, MiG-29s, etc. Sure, the SU-17/22 series wasn’t meant to fight planes as it’s original purpose (though other nations used it as fighters/interceptors), but facing planes like the F-4E or most other 11.0 should be fine, granted on if you’re really good at fighting. Top tier jets in general should just be decompressed though. It’s tiring knowing that 90 percent of matches past 11.0-11.3 are uptiers.

Recently at a vacation in Bulgaria me and my family actually got to check out an Su-22M4 at an aviation museum, and my dumbass didn't even know such a variant exists and Google search somehow brought almost no info, now ironic to see it get added to WT in the La Royale update. Up close irl it looks super cool and reliable even though realistically it might be inferior to the competition, and it's huge as well, much bigger than any other fighter jet I've seen (except the IL-28 even tho it's a bomber and not a fighter).

I assume it's a decommissioned aircraft, either that or just an exported gift considering it looked to be in excellent condition

The Su22 is the export variant of the Su17, yes, and the whole family is incremental improvement over the Su11/Su13 point defence interceptors. And it definitely is a bomber.

This was my first top tier jet (my brother gifted it me because i was reluctant to play top tier) and playing right now at 11.0 feels like a breath of fresh. Main advantage is its engine, so it's good at energy fighting and the missiles are fine 3rd party killers, which happens often vs 10.0ish premium jets. Overall the KD ratio improvement is colossal thanks to the slight downtier.

The Su-17M4 is actually one of my best aircraft stat wise - the active protection system (aka 256 flares on periodic that last a whole match), 6 R-60M's and gunpods make it quite fun to play as air superiority. I think I even scored an ace a couple of times

The Su22 is a gigh speed point defence interceptor turned low altitude attacker turned multi role fighter bomber. Its kinda shit, because under the hood its a 1960s era Su11. Its the soviet equivalent of the F4.

My favorite way to fly this plane is not to use it intended. I'll get a few kills off start if possible if not just basically stick with the herd and wait till they start camping airfield. I will then proceed to use the 14 km ranged anti-ship missiles on the airfield as they camp it. Works flawlessly every time and I love it so much.

It makes me absolutely thrilled being at 10.0 where the only good aircraft with speed, climb and gun is the F105D. Drawback: It’s the only good plane yet it doesn’t have ANY FUCKING flares at 10.0 and playing anything from that range all the way to 11.0 in an uptier is just a guaranteed death. Please for the love of god, add flares for it Gaijin. We’ve been begging for a long time as well as well as the F4C. Its hard to quantify exactly 200kg on a 2000kg plane is a massive difference Whereas 200kg on a 15000kg doesnt impact a lot In your case, the mig15bis min vs 20 minutes is a massive change in performance yes To give you an idea The mig15 will win a dogfight vs an F86 sabre when both on min fuel If the sabre is on min and the bis on full the sabre will win it in like 3 turns The best way is to look at how heavy the plane is. The lighter the plane the more impact weight normally has on it

why is the G.91Y at 9.3 when Sabre-K os 9.0. It has no place as a fighter and as the ground attacker in ground RB its useless since 9.3 is non existent for italy, but 9.7 is and there you have a YS which has a CCIP. Putting it at 9.0 would be more fair as it doesnt have flares or missiles, and it would be useful at ground RB

Been flying the bis a lot. Comparable acceleration but the fights play out similar to mig 29 but even worse. One turn and then you're their toy. That's not to say the bis is useless. Playing full support role I still manage 1-4 kills a match at 12.0

You should play the Q5's, abosolutly horrendous, the only thing you got is the speed because of the BR it sits at (9.0 for Q5 early/a and 9.7 for Q5l). No flares except the Q5a for some reason, lack luster ground armament, NO air to air missiles and shit guns
