*Update:* Shortly after posting this video I got on a call with the owner of Argos and he confirmed that the shop documentation was indeed forged and did not come from their shop. Accoridng to the owner their paperwork looks nothing like the one I showed on video. Seems like thier logo was just stamped on the paperwork! Meaning, this has nothing to do with shop and everything to do with the guy that sold me the car.

Sue or expose them lol. I had something similar happen when i bought my e92 n54 from someone who sold used "luxury" vehicles. and I was not in the position Vehicle Virals was to put the money into fixing the expensive problems at the moment which led to it sitting for a while. They claimed it had a warranty too for 2 years or 25k miles but the paperwork was bullshit. Ended up being my first engine that I swapped by myself and even though im happy for the experience it doesn't change the fact that this guy was comfortable going around fucking people over.

Legal action will just cost a lot of money to lawyers and you will probably not get anything out of the sellers even if you win. The 36 month warrenty should have been a major red flag. Not even BMW would give such long warranty on a brand new car, so how should a motorshop give 36 months on a notorius failing engine, on which they had only renewed the bearings. Try to get the deal reversed so they take the car back for say 10.000 usd otherwise try to sell the car and see what tou can get. alternatively give the car a chance and get a lot of new subscribers for the content about getting the M5 fixed.

He had obviously cleared faults before I met him to see it. Brought it to FtL BMW. Cost $4500 to resolve all issues. The freakin thing is now sitting in my driveway not starting due to all the water ingress that's caused all sorts of electrical issues from sunroof drainage and corrosion of wiring. It’s not a “As Is” sale when they misrepresented the car as having numerous repairs and then fabricated documents. First question is did they sell you the car through their business or personally. If they sold it through the business they can file for bankruptcy protection if you sue and win . If you put a judgement lien on their business it will disappear with the business. If they sold it to you personally you can sue and attach the judgement to anything the personally own if they refuse to pay. Call a lawyer and get some information

Been following you since N54 and you were always an inspiration to me as I can tell how passionate you are about BMW. I'm from similar background being a business owner, currently owning 10 BMW including some collectible ones, and also got screwed by a 20 year old kid from buying an used M5 with fake description before. Lawsuit is really the last thing you'd wanna pursuit unless if there are enough money you can prove that you've lost and you'd still have to give a big chunk to attorneys even if you win. I know you thought about their employees, but at the same time you are not stopping the business owner from screwing other buyers over. Those employees could be young and manipulated by the owner thinking that it is ok not to tell customers truths or using fake documents are fine as long as customers don't find out. I suggest that you take the business down so no more people would fall into the same situation again. At the same time, save this poor M5, make it resurrect, 6 speed manual swap, and make more inspiration to your viewers like you always did. Feel free to respond or message me if you need any help or cars to make contents! Cheer up buddy!!!

I once bought an SS Cobalt (which is admittedly no M5). Bought it for like $2500 and immediately spent $5000 on basic maintenance, replacing worn out parts, and undoing poorly done modifications. I can only imagine what that's going to look like on this car. What I’ve learned about buying certain vehicles like BMWs/Land Rovers/Audi’s that have Achilles heels is to always avoid any ADs that list all the common high dollar issues as being fixed as just like in your situation makes the vehicles more desirable. I almost purchased a LR4 Land Rover from a guy using the same tactic and only thing that saved me was googling their name and found a bunch of complaints from other businesses they owned in the past using the same repair tactic. Tactic they use to avoid these complaints is by changing their business name when they burn too many bridges.

This is why pre-purchase inspections are a must. I put the car on the lift, scan the full system, and record and take pictures of EVERYTHING on a DVI. No matter how minuscule it might be. My job is to show you everything, your job is to make an informed decision based on all the data I provide you. It usually weeds out the scammers right away. Sometimes those ppl will panic and tell you no. They won’t allow a stranger to tinker with their vehicle. That’s the first red flag. Or they offer to take it to their own personal mechanic. That’s the second red flag. As a shop owner I here to tell you, it is very easy to forge service receipts and even carfax reports. If I had a dollar for the countless dealerships and mom and pop shops who have asked me to write them up an invoice and they will pay me a couple hundred dollars. I tell them to kick rocks because my reputation is worth more than a couple hundred dollars. Likewise, all a shop has to do is open a repair order, close it out, and post it. Carfax will collect the data and report it on their system. Then the shop just has to cancel that repair order and wipe it from their books. Carfax can’t see that part of things, nor do they physically verify repairs were performed, so they are none the wiser to the scheme. There are countless vehicles on the road with bloated carfax reports. I see them all the time. Buyer beware.

Since Ali is a certified mechanic, you can have him write you down documentation of all the things that were old and not replaced as stated on their provided receipts, you can sue them for how much it costs to fix those things bc you were indeed deceived and man post their names and contact info everywhere so we can rank them on Google reviews and warn others

Max respect on your approach to the situation. Tbh with you bro, yes you can afford this situation. But I would sue them especially if they are a shop, end of the day everyone who works for that scammer knows what he is doing, and I’m sure he has ruined countless lives. But if that’s too much of a process I would use my platform to warn my viewers of this company so at least your followers won’t be effected by them. This is like a new fear unlocked man, can’t trust anyone now a days, everyone is trying to be successful but some are doing it on the expensive of others lives. It’s so sad to see this man, I’m sure you ran the scenario in your head a million times, but the truth is you he is just a professional scammer. Hope you figure it out brotha, got my support if anything🙏

As a former advisor at a mom and pop, that's one security issue that I notice with software. It doesn't stop your from editing the VIN. So if owner A has an e90 that has a ton of work done to it. And say owner B has exact same Yr mk model and wants to sell his car with owner A's history. All it would take is deleting owners A's vin, pasting Owners B's Vin, printing history, and then switching back to Owners A's Vin. All it takes is a crooked shop owner to do it. Honestly a solid PPI by an expert is always always important. Can look for engine Vin plate, and things that show whether work was done or not. It's garbage that this happened man.

15k and you want an e60 m5 with everything sorted? yes, they lied to you and you should take legal action but honestly you get for what you pay for, the money you saved purchasing this shit box, you could throw back into fixing it properly. Fork up another 20-40k and you will have a fully sorted car, gotta pay to play.

It’s great that you’re thinking this through and not rushing in with emotions. But, like most in the comments have said, you should definitely sue. This guy committed a FELONY by forging documentation and should not be allowed to get away with it. He also could have potentially ruined a business’s reputation. Others definitely need to know about him as well where they’re not stuck with an absolute crap car. You have all the proof you need to take this guy down where he’ll hopefully never scam again.

Coming from an E60 M5 owner, I wouldn't hesitate taking legal action in civil court. This a IYKYK comment, but out of all the cars ever produced by BMW, this is the one you don't lie about the maintenance on it. My condolences to your time and wallet. You were done wrong and that's not cool. Save someone else from purchasing from fraudulent and deceptive business owners. Best of luck and I'll sure be following the content. Stay up, you're a good dude!

I got scammed in a similar way on a 2005 Audi S4 Cabrio I found on eBay. This guy told me that the car is perfect and basically needed nothing. Seemed like a nice guy. Lived near me in a nice house and claimed to know everything about Audis. What he did was he had his mechanic reset all the codes just before I paid him. The next day, the check engine light came on and I found out that there were TONS of issues. Cost me a ton of money and I have absolutely sworn off buying cheap German cars - especially off of eBay….

I am currently dealing with the same maintenance package on my F30 335i. It is stuck on a lift coming on 3 weeks due to the place I decided to order parts from. Major set back and lots of patience just waiting after they advertised a tour of their facility and shipping process. Total BS! Small or large businesses are taking the opportunity of the legal system barely giving a shit about us tax payers. One thing I can guarantee you is that regardless of how upset or vulnerable you feel its going to be ok. Yes it sucks, yes there are dirt bags out there but the ability of us not letting them break us is what will determine your futures success. Keep your head up and carry on. This is a good opportunity to make this M5 a unique ride like The General Lee or the DDE tire slayer Lambo that sold for BIG $$$. Good content with an awesome ride will bring great fortune. Just subscribed and I will keep my eyes on your success. 👍

Same kinda thing happened to me when I bought my E61 535I M package Touring. 4 days after owning it from the dealership, Guibo blew apart on the highway, axle was seized in the passenger front hub. Oil pan gasket was done off, CEL for mad boost leaks, engine mounts went bad, trans mount was bad from oil pan leaking back onto it. Dealership sold it to me saying everything was good, it was winter time so I couldn’t check under the car. They told me I was lying and only offered to pay for 600 bucks worth of parts and wanted me to sign a document saying I wouldn’t bad mouth them. I chose to leave bad reviews everywhere and do everything myself. Still one of my best purchases to date after all the mess.

This is why its a good idea to bring a trusted mechanic and a real scanner. These issues wouldve been easy to spot. Even if they cleared the codes, the data left behind will tell you codes were recently cleared. Put a few drive cycles on it and they will return. Live data is great but your everyday person wouldnt understand it. Still sucks you have to deal with this man, hope it works out for you.

Long story short i got an attorney and sue the seller so they wont fool someone else.

I think this is very valuable content in general for ANY potential car buyers. It's why I'm sticking with my 320 000km E90 M57 for now and not get a E92 N54. I've looked at multiple E92's ranging from the naturally aspirated N52's to the N54's, and I'm not impressed with what I've seen. Most people either don't have the money, don't have the knowledge or plain out don't care about their cars and as a result don't maintain them and they want too much money for the severely neglected cars they try to sell. Some of the most dodgy behaviour I've seen is the following: pre-warmed car before visit (so you don't see the engine on a cold start), valve chatter (apparently a factory fault on the early 330i's) and not mentioning the cars had major accidents beforehand (i.e. the whole side of the car was painted) It's a minefield, even if you have good knowledge about these cars. I don't know if you've done this, but you should go on a secret shopper type of gig and show all the shit that people try to pull. It would be great content in general and very informative to BMW buyers in general.

What do they say about things that seem too good to be true? An old timer told me a long time ago. When your buying someone's boogered-up car, you buying someone's boogered up car. No need to warn anyone. If someone is going to take the chance on the next too good to be true deal, they are going to do it. Nothing will stop that. Just dont trust what anyone says about their used car. if you are willing to take the chance then take it but dont cry if it doesnt work out. No one us giving anything away these days bro

Sue them. Plain and simple. They finally caved in and told you that they lied about everything they did to the car cause they know that with your influence, they will be crushed indefinitely. What if they had sold that car to someone in a different position as yours? They’d be highly screwed. Luckily, they sold it to someone who has influence and can basically decide the future of their business. Sue them, that’ll teach them a lesson and to think twice about screwing someone over.

I own an E60 M5 that I drive daily. I avoided the cars with major component swaps because you're simply trading one set of issues for another. YOU MUST take the time to understand each system, how to diagnose it, and you must have BMW ISTA or an Autel to do so correctly. I've had sellers have a sudden change of heart when I opened up my ISTA laptop and wanted to connect to the OBD port. I would not accept any car with a major swap done without loads of photographic evidence and a good reason for doing so (the seller swapping out a motor or tranny without obvious justification always made me think they couldn't figure out what was wrong in the first place)
