For some reason, Expansion Teams in 2k are "Extremely" good when it comes to Simulation. I've used a dozen of different Expansion teams in the past, and it doesn't matter how bad the players are on the team. They somehow end up Top-5 in defense, if you don't fire the Coach they give you.
