It will work fine Paul. At VHF/UHF the line loss will be a factor. Thats a fairly long run to your house.

what you could do is buy a longer pole or just a resizeble army telescopic mast, those are pretty cheap. Mine is 1.8 mtr's and you can slide it out to 11 meters in total. But then you would need guide/support wires to tie it up. . I have mine set to 6 mtr's without any support wires.

Happy New Year Paul. I have a Hexbeam on a Tennamast and have seen an Diamond X300 fitted above it! my problem is my mast is 50 metres away from house but I am thinking I would also love the X300 above Hexbeam was concerned it it would cause problems. Paul, and idea, place the antenna on tower, top section, using a bar to get it away from.tower.

The question is, what is the appropriate height to place it? Place it as high as possible will not always give you the best result. My antenna is a Diamond V2000 and is located on the roof of a four -storey building at an approximate height of 16 meters above the ground. 73 Paul

I guess you need height. You might consider installing an extra bended pipe in your mast. The kind that is in use for sattelite dishes. Hope I'm making sense. 😊 That would give you a couple of meters extra height.
