The style is so adorable! One thing I'd recommend is adding a mirror mode option for the hair, it essentially gives you more options with hopefully not much work. Same goes for the cane for left handed people

one reason why games like stardew valley don't do player portraits, its because you will have to make portraits for when the character changes facial expressions, so the extra work you get grows exponentially

thats soo awesome!!! Another thingy you could add (only if you want to), when youre done with your character, you can make them stay in that results zone, and when you make another character, the previous one can have a little friend! So they wont feel too lonely, lol

if possible, i think you should add some hair gradients/streaks! I myself have gradient hair (just a simple black to red) and i don't often find character creators with hair color options like that :3 i know it would probably be hard to implement with every single different hair style though. i think you should try and add piercings too! even simple things like earrings (maybe only a few styles, like studs, hoops, and maybe a few different styles with multiple piercings on each ear. I have many piercings so personally i understand how a sprite would get cluttered (both nostrils, septum, lip piercings, and about 3 piercings on each ear) and personally i don't even draw myself with all of my piercings because it clutters up my persona's design. even a few simple ones though would be fun to see if you can! just some thoughts! i tried out the character creator and it was awesome though :] you did a fantastic job for just a prototype!

Whenever you make the actual game, click and drag scars and moles would be a fantastic addition. I know a lot of old school dress up games had click and drag accessories and it would be so fun to be able to do that sort of detail with blemishes.

Probably not worth putting in this prototype since it’s so difficult to add things, but in the future I’d love to see piercing options as well! Making a version of myself without all my piercings makes my ears look so naked lol

I think an option that could be good (even just for the final version) when it comes to the vitiligo would be a ‘draw’ feature (if someone *really* can’t get it right). Even if they had to draw it onto the mini-them themselves. It would also double as a way to put in custom birthmarks. Also the idea to have two different coloured lips (which I mentioned in my comment on the last video, but you probably didn’t see that [or this for that matter :P])

I love these updates so much, I wanted to try to make my self and the first hair I see is the literally the same one I have in real life which was crazy how broad your customization is. Also something I recommend is highlights in the hair (I know you said you prob wont change anything but ye just a recommendation) but ye keep it up!!!!

something you can also do is make files in the folder thing that the options are on and have stuff like 'clothes/accesories' 'skin stuff' 'hair stuff' (DONT USE MY EXAMPLES IN THE ACTUAL GAME. NAME THEM DIFFERENTLY LOL) but i feel like that may help with organization :33

This is so cool! The only thing I have against game character creators in general would have to be the beards tend to be pretty short. As a guy with a beard that grows to my stomach, I find most games don't implement beards that long. But overall, this is amazing!

I know making different body types is very difficult in these sort of things, but even just an option for a thicker neck and/or double chin would be better than nothing also I can't remember if there's a buzz cut or a bald "hair"style but those would be nice

Loved this update so much!! One thing I personally missed in the first and second video was more face shapes. I saw that the face shapes were more based on the chin, but I personally have a big forehead. So maybe that's an idea? :) Some other things I thought of were ear shapes and body shapes. Like different neck shapes, or shoulders. I do want to say that these are just ideas, and I have no idea if implementing this is going to be a lot of work or not. Besides that, looooooved it so much! And really excited for what you are going to make next :)

Props for adding freckles! I always find it so frustrating because it feels like 50/50 if a character creator has freckles or not. If you end up having a character creator which shows the torso, having freckles around the shoulders arms and chest would be really great! If not then what you have already is also great! Excited to see where your game dev journey goes!
