I would definitely recommend investing in two raised bowls for him. Cats usually don't like when their water is right next to their food mainly due to them not liking the scent of food while they are drinking water and food particles will get into it and it turns them off from drinking it. Also elevated bowls are better because it prevent your cat from eating too fast and helps reduce digestive issues, vomiting, and gas and prevents other health issues like a dental disease and whisker fatigue! As a cat mama for 20+ years, I've never found elevated bowls to necessarily do anything

@@kimmyb8276 exactly 💀. Like my grandma had a cat and never had an issue with food being near water. Honestly sounds like the stupidest shit in the world but some cats are different from others

@@kimmyb8276I started using raised food bowls a few months ago and my cat looks so much more comfortable eating. I feel a little guilty for not getting a raised bowl much sooner. It’s not essential but it’s a small thing that’s does make a difference ☺️

Look into using pine pellets with the breeze litter box! It works amazing for odor control and may be cheaper in the long run!! Such a gorgeous kitten 😻

the general rue is one litter box per cat + 1 and use high quality wet food as 70% of their diet :)

Bit of a tip, cats are pretty prone to dehydration and they tend to get a lot of their hydration through food so I know this is very late but I'd HOGHLY reccomend switching back to wet food. Just check if it's got carrageenen in it as it's known to cause cancer. A good cheap one is the fancy feast classic pate and I even add a bit if extra water to it myself. Id also probably suggest a water fountain for him as cats like moving water over stagnant water.

Thanks for the tips! I give him wet and dry food, both the purine pro plan. I like to give him some variety. He’s been pretty good about drinking water too but I have been looking into fountains

@@NasiaCakes purina wet and dry is one of the worst food you can give your cat. they are carnivores and need only meat and organs (real fresh food). they will be healthy if fed a species appropriate diet

@@certifiedholisticchic if you want to feed raw diet that’s your business, but I personally don’t want to deal with the bacterial risk. The veterinarians at the practices I’ve worked at have recommended purina pro plan as a great brand to feed pets.

@@NasiaCakes 1. Veterinarians don’t get nutritional training In school. If you think a professional suggesting processed food for a living being their entire life than you need better education and a bit of common sense. 2. There is bacteria every where. Bacteria is good for you and any living being with a microbiome. bacteria is in the food you prepare for yourself. Cats are MADE to eat raw meat. They have the proper digestive tract to handle bacteria.
