That tube thing is a base to a antique fishing rod. The base of the reel is still inside of it.

The item at around 4:20 is a mallet. The two openings on either side of the handle had soft material to persuade things into position. I've seen the with rolled rawhide, copper, lead, plastic, etc.

Awesome day Chig I love watching you collaborate with smaller channels. Congrats mike your almost half way to that 1k subscriber goal. GR8 Finds y'all I really like the old lead artifact's but the belt buckle is my favorite.
Had to chcuckle a bit, as a friend used those same words, telling me, "You're one of the lucky ones". I wasn't sure how they meant it at the time. You've given me a better, more positive interpretation. Thanks, Beau. BTW, I enjoyed the adventure! I had watched many videos before I understood why wheat pennies were a good thing. Lots for me to still learn.

Very good finds today! But the least of them, for me, was the most provocative. Fifty-odd years ago, it was assumed in my area the two best beers were Budweiser and Schmidt's. Somewhere along the way, I moved to another part of the country and Schmidt's disappeared. Due to your find, I now know Christian Schmidt Brewing went out of business in 1987. Thanks!

odd curved bit is the handle off of a mug. the tiny protuberance is the spot you anchor you thumb to. might have been a wooden tankard w/ a metal handle. they hooked over the rim of the wood, or onto the bands that held the wooden parts together, IF it was made like a barrel.
