I love watching you, because you remind me so much of my dad. The things you joke about, the way you dress, the fact that you named your truck Chig's Rig... Hahaha He is a Civil War expert, but he rarely makes the time to adventure, because he is always doing things for others, and he takes care of my 95 year-old grandpa. I help him take care of Pappaw, too. I just wanted to say thanks for posting your videos. I hope someday my dad can make the time to go out and adventure again like you do.

Your a good teacher, the kids loved your Fort series, can't wait for you to go back. I'da never thought about the hooks in trees, good to know. Kids have had 2 days out metal detecting so far. Got kinda bored diggin' up nails and junk...so grandma sent them in for cookies and milk then planted a bunch of coins in the weedy areas of the yard. They got to dig anywhere they pulled weeds. Only dug up about a buck sixty five in coins, but they acted like it was a million dollars.....Grandma got her lawn weeded and the kids got paid. It's gonna be a good "weedless" summer. Another great video, thanks for all the good metal detecting info and see you next time.

Chigg nice to see you back on the river, I like your motorised canoe brilliant, perhaps the lead spike might be a home made bayonet, it's amazing with all the unsettled weather we have in our world, and we can still find civil war relecs well done chigg keep up the great videos,

I wonder if that lead spike is a Cannon Spike. I know they were usually iron or steel but if it was made in the field, lead would be quicker and easier. I imagine hammering/smashing a bunch of lead into the fuse hole would make a Cannon pretty useless too, which is the point.

The lead spike could be for a musket sometimes when they didnt have molds they would cast bars of lead and shoot square projectiles but could be any time period from french and Indian to civil war

Must be awesome walking through and digging up history like that. I know you've been up to northern Ontario I believe you said but nothing like you find around here. I spent sometime in Summersville W.V. as a boy , i wish i would have had a derector back then.

I kind of agree with the concern over the spike on the boat facing up. Not so much that you might be thrown into it but I could see feet slipping on rocks and a fall that lands a forearm on that beast. Maybe a tennis ball split and covering it? Like the videos always!

“Beau’s Chigger”. 😁 (boat name), or simply “The Chigger Beaut” (pronounced like a boat, but also like Beau…..t). 🙂 or “The Chigger Chugger.” Did I win? 😛 Good tip about the fish hooks. Also….line/hooks could be sucked up into the impeller of the boat right? Good explanation about what the currents do and bouncing things can get trapped there. “Beautiful Ketchup packet”. LOL! 😆 Looks like a “Mepps” spinner lure. Should make a wind chime out of the keys? 😊. That would be cool to hang off the sunglasses fence. 😎😎😎✨🔑🗝🔑✨ It’s always nice to see you finding miniballs and musket balls! 👏🏻😃 Interesting spike. Maybe was used as a weapon? Must have been one heck of a battle there!
