Hi Jess, try spraying hydrogen peroxide on the seeds. It should stop the fungus. H2O2 is good for all seeds. Have a great day and happy growing. LUV U 🤖

Hi! I’ve tried many times myself and I can give you some advice! First if the temperatures are too cold just avoid trying, even if you keep everything inside transporting the fruit in the cold seems enough for the seeds to lose vitality. Second I’ve tried pretty much Al the things you did, what made the difference for me was keeping the seeds in water. Don’t peel them (it’s not necessary) and keep them in water for few days, change the water often and if the seed are vital they’ll start to put out the root, than you can put them in soil. Don’t really know why but this has been the way I got more success than any other

Before you put the seeds in soil, mix a bit of cinnamon in. It is a really good antifungal agent and it also doubles as a rooting promoter too. When i find a bit of mold growing on the top of the soil, i sprinkle a bit more cinnamon on top and stir up the top layer of soil gently. And then add more air flow. I have tried it with a wide variety of plants (some of which arent legal in every state) and it works really well.

If you do avocodos again. Soak them for a day or two and peal the skin. defnetly try the paper towel method, but put them in a dark covered. All eight of my seeds sprouted this way. Also cinnimun works really well in preventing infections. Mine got this weird white fluff mold, but still seemed alive so I soaked them in cinnumon, honey and clean water. Mke sure to transfer them to water after they root.

You need to blend the chocolate more or with a more powerful blender in order to get that smooth smooth runny chocolate
@growithjessie Жыл бұрын
that is such a great point. i think you also need to blend it for many hours lol
@senpailee263 Жыл бұрын
@@growithjessie not necessarily hours but more for sure. I know that some chocolatiers use stone similar to a morter and pestle to grind it up. You just need the chocolate molecules to be smaller so it has a smoother mouth feel.
@Rose_Garden1312 Жыл бұрын
Yup - the mortar and pestle grinder will help you separate it from the cocoa fats which are used to make white chocolate!
@senpailee263 Жыл бұрын
@@Rose_Garden1312 yes very true. I've watched some documentaries on how chocolate is made in South America by hand and they be grinding it for so long sometimes.
@motomelas5 ай бұрын
@@growithjessieYou don't need to blend it for anywhere near as long. I recommend the food processor in order to get a more even blend sometimes blenders aren't strong enough to be able to bring it to that smooth consistency you want for the chocolate. With or without milk, your chocolate should be smooth. Traditional chocolate has a fermentation process in the white layer before the roasting and if you wanted to go the extra mile roasting on the stove over a low heat would also work better than your oven. Adding the sugar after blending your cacao nibs also helps with the consistency. Love the vid I hope the next time you make chocolate you get the consistency you wanted I'm excited to see more and learn about growing ❤😊

I think the problem you're having with your chocolate is you aren't blending it long enough you have to blend it for like a few hours sometimes to get that rich creamy chocolate-y-ness that you want.

I germinated many of them, I have planted over a thousand cocoa trees so I´m learning a lot, here my best advice to germinate and properly grow them from seed: open the fruit, pick the seeds specially the ones in the middle area of the fruit as those are the female seeds, they are different because they have an elongated form instead of round wich are males, put them on a bucket with a few inches of water, change the water each day for three days, about half of them will have sprouted with a white root, plant them as soon as possible with the root down, half way into the soil, if the root bends in the water is no good, the rest will sprout in the coming days, to plant them use a mixture of half and half of leaf compost and river sand or something in those lines, I am getting amazing results.

What worked for me was peeling the seed, and placing directly into a moistened seed starting mix(root down) then covering them. Too much mpisture makes the seeds rot before they start. So over moist is bad. Wet paper method always yeilded horrible results for me. Also put a bunch in one pot, DO NOT TOUCH THEM UNTIL THEY POKE FULLY OUT OF TGE SOIL!

Says while inspecting dried out seeds from pod no.1 "They probably needed that white layer". Proceeds to remove said layer with each subsequent pod, and the seeds continue to die. You know the literal definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. PS. If that white layer is really high in sugar, it should inhibit growth of pathogens.
