No body ever did a better impression of Johnny Carson than Tommy Smothers. Even a a do it quickly from his brother. Easpecaly the mannerisms. He does it as a compliment to Johnny. It also at least is there way of saying Johnny Carson was the tops in late night and gave us all Opertunaties. Especially just liked every day people. 😁

Hey! Can Tommy come out and play pilot? Only if mom still likes him best and gives him his yoyo back. I met Tom and Dick, in person, at the turning Stone Casino in Rome, NY back in 2000. It was the best night of my life to see their show and backstage in person with them. Tom and Dick... I thank you very much, and for the autographs too. You guys are still the best.

@@bebo5558 Man I sure don't remember a time when the Smothers Brothers wit and timing haven't been perfectly excellent, and seemed honed to a razors edge as far back as I can remember. I'm 66. The way they appeared was the way they are! - kind, generous & funny! They let us take pictures with them ! The photo of my sister & Dick turned out to be the last photo she ever took, before we lost her unexpectedly! She had gotten the tickets as a surprise for me,since she knew how I loved them! Laughter is the best medicine so, I still listen to all their albums & it's great to see them on You tune! Thanks for showing this great routine - one of many!

I have had the pleasure of seeing these two perform live twice in my life. Those were about fifteen years apart and both mixed some of their famous routines with new materials, and everything hit perfectly. One woman sitting next to me laughed so hard she pee'd herself a little and had to excuse herself. Even my wife who did not grow up on them thought they were brilliant. I wish they could have had all their performances captured for posterity. Sure, it would be a lot to look at, but it would be great learning material for the younger comics who think vulgarity is a punchline, and who do not understand picture-perfect timing.

I also was privileged to be at one of their performances. It was in Monterey CA. I can't remember when it was but I know it was way over 5 years ago. My husband and I NEVER laughed so hard in our lives. They were absolutely FANTASTIC. Haven't heard about them since but I thought I read that they are not performing any longer. Their comedy in my eyes is and was the best of the best. I could listen and watch them over and over again and never get bored. They are also great musicians writing, singing, playing instruments and harmonizing - performing their own music. You just don't find this kind of talent anymore! Their timing is spot on and entertainment at it's best in my eyes! I wonder if there is any chance of a reunion special or a tribute to them? They certainly deserve "stars" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (if they don't already have one)!!!!! Does anyone have any updates information about them?
