I Am A Sinner | Spoken Word

I wrote my first spoken word piece two months ago about the woes of social media, and I felt compelled to basically make a spoken word iteration of a rap song I wrote a few months ago called "Desolate Christian" due to some moments of weakness in my recent past.
This spoken word piece is essentially a confession and a plea. It's a declaration of the fact that I'm not a perfect person, that I'm not a charming angel, and that I've given in to temptation. I consider myself a Catholic, and I don't mean to disrespect anybody's beliefs or whatever with this spoken word piece, but it's more of just a reflection of the time when I felt that I was hoping to be saved because I knew I was venturing down the wrong path.
I wrote so much that I will be making a part two, hopefully about redemption and getting back on your feet.

+Cordero Roman In Matthew 7:21-27 It says not everyone who says to me lord lord will enter the kingdom of heaven but the ones who does the will of my father who is in heaven. What Jesus means by that is doing good things and being a good person on this earth will not get you into heaven you have to actually believe in the cross and give your heart to God and let him decide your destiny and do your best to obey God's word :D {FACT God does not except you to be perfect and not mess up he just at least want you to try then when you mess up come to him and confess your sin and ask for forgiveness and mean it with your heart and soul} there is no such thing as perfect Adam and Eve mess that up a long time ago humans were born in sin there is no possible way for us to be perfect because of Adam biting that apple check your throat Adam's Apple sound familiar?

God never said this world would be safe, or easy. You were given a choice, from the loving Father to chose Him or not. He loves you regardless... THe only reason why you don't hear Him, is because you don't know his voice anymore. God is closest to wounded and the afflicted, the oppressed and the lost. For even Jesus did not dine with Saints but sinners. For Doctors do not see the well but the sick. Jesus paid the price so you didn't have to. Knowing fully well that the ones he willing died for wouldn't even believe or love him. Love unconditionally. Agape.

This made me so sad, these were my thoughts half a year ago, then I heard something. Because we are all sinners God doesn't expect us to be perfect. He just expects us to try. For the times we mess up Jesus was sacrificed to make up for the bad. Because of his love Jesus gave us a second chance. To ask for forgiveness and escape the prison that is Hell. To get in to the most magnificent spiritual realm called Heaven which I know I am not worthy to enter. Because we are in Gods image Satan has NO power over us. Only what we allow. Because we are seated next to Christ all we have to do is ask him and trust him. Even the most possessed person can be saved because ultimately God paid for their soul to have a chance at salvation and because of that power, the evil we allowed into the world can be easily overcome. I know its hard to trust. I used to hate the panic attacks I had because I felt the Devil trying to take me but it all stopped when I realised that the devil is NOT omnipresent and it is demons that haunted my dreams doing his horrible works and putting words into my head. I banished them in the name of Jesus. Since then, I haven't felt attacked. Call it wishful thinking or some kind of placebo but when all of that was happening to me, none of us realised but my mother, father and sister were also getting the same thing. We just didn't open up. I think doubt is the biggest tool of the devil. Why take the risk in not believing. If you believe you get to spend an eternity in heaven and if you don't then nothing happens *puff* you disappear. But if it is all true then it is vital you don't allow evil to persuade you to ignore God, leading to punishment. I believe that we all get a chance to see Jesus when we die and go 'WOW YOU'RE REAL, I AM NOT WORTHY' and that only those who see and still don't believe go to Hell but that's just me. Sorry this is so long, I just felt like you might need to read this.

hello! I totally agree with a lot of things you've said. However I do think his biggest problem is that he said he doesn't know who he trusts himself or God. Also I believe the same thing that you do about God allowing us to all see Him however I was just wondering as to why you do believe it?

One thing that really stood out for me; "I'd do anything to be famous". Dude, just know that it is an invisible unicorn of happiness that so many people chase and don't be fooled in thinking that there is happiness or purpose found in that. Just look at famous people and their lack of happiness. Ecclesiastes tells us that God placed eternity in our hearts, and that void can and will only be filled by Him. That "there's got to be more to life" feeling that everyone has, it is all of us searching for something deeper, something more, something transcendent, but that something is a someone and you know His name. Get a coffee, or beer, if you smoke cigarettes, light one up, either way just have your conversation with all frustrations and truth with Him. Do that often and He will draw near. Peace. x

In my time of being existent on this earth I have as have many others come to the conclusion and realisation that no other person or thing can make you happy, fill you up, give you that unexplainable joy from the deepest part of within. many times we are left feeling abandoned, lonely and weak by people who reject us, use us or mistreat us. but with the LORD we receive and only ever the complete opposite. HE takes the broken, weak, forgotten and the one who is in need of a SAVIOUR and gives them a reason to live. Why? Because HE is the very reason we can live. HE died for each and every one of us to give us a second birth which no other could do. HE traded up HIS most holy righteousness and took upon himself the worlds sins and received all our pains, guilt, shame ,sins etc. in return. Not for us to follow strict rules and religion but to acknowledge HIM as our personal LORD & SAVIOUR, declare that HE died for our sins and rose after three days, repent and ask for forgiveness and submit ourselves to HIM asking HIM to enter our hearts and lives to seek and serve HIM forever. Many times there are things that can distract us from seeking or even hearing HIM but GOD himself is never far from those who diligently seek HIM with their whole hearts. HE told us draw near to HIM and HE will draw nearer to us. We can be mad at GOD but that doesn't change who HE is. HE is ever loving and ever faithful to HIS children though we truly do not deserve it, the sinners we are. DONT GIVE UP ON GOD BECAUSE HE NEVBER GIVES UP ON YOU. I don't know who you are reading this today but YOUR LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER is waiting for you to return back to HIM to you right this moment. for it says in Luke 15:7 'I tell you in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine persons who do not need to repent. REPEAT THIS TRUSTING GOD FULLY WITH YOUR HEART: " FATHER, I KNOW THAT I HAVE BROKEN YOUR LAWS AND MY SINS HAVE SEPERATED ME FROM YOU. God is always with you. He never leaves you. Being the piece of work that we are we create the space between god which shouldn't be there. God always will renew you. The word says that there will be affliction, but we have to be strong and always be in communication with the LORD just like how every relationship needs communication. He will always grant the chance to rectify. By what you wrote and recited I know what is in your heart, and I know you're lost I know you are looking for something to hold onto, to look at because everything is out of our control. I know how you feel. I know because my father was never around and I did feel abandoned, but I grew strong knowing that if I fight everyday I can be closer to the one who created me. Wow, I relate to this so much. Literally I've felt the same way before. This is really good though. This is exactly what God wants. He wants you to be honest with him. And also pursue him and keep believing even in the times when it seems like he's not there. Be like Jacob when he wrestled God. Jacob said he wasn't leaving until God blessed him. Pursue God until you find. That's the promise he gives us in Jeremiah 29:13 "You will SEEK me and FIND me when you seek me with all of your heart." And in Matthew 7:7 God says "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you." And the most important part is having faith that God will do what he promised to do Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

I know it's harder said than done. Honestly it comes down to making a choice are you gonna seek God or not? And in the times when God is silent and you don't hear him. I'd encourage you to read your bible. God speaks through his word too. When you don't hear his voice, you can still read his voice.

And if you're a born again Christian(you've received Jesus into your heart as lord and savior) you've already overcome this world filled with lust and temptation. 1 John 5:4-5 "For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" And if you're a born again believer you get the abundant life, which means life with Jesus is more than a future hope of going to heaven. It's also a present hope of living a fulfilling and purposeful life.

well im not religious, but either way from my perspective,i think you need to also rely on yourself and not only to a god,knowing that you have yourself and that thats amazing because youll always be there. also,letting go of perfection is where perfection begins, no one is perfect,we all have temptations,things that we know we shouldnt want or we dont REALLY need but we think it will make us happy.thats why we need to live in the present moment and enjoy what is there while working on earning more in the future.. you need to ask yourself what adds value to your life,weather its belief,people,materialistic stuff,objects,emotions,and let go of the idea of being saved or becoming something else,you already are where you need to be,improvement and development is always good,but you need to also love where you are now in order to allow better things to come your way. this was probably off topic but i felt the need to post this for anyone who feels good reading it.. xoxo.

And you think there is nothing greater than that? You think that's it? We eat, we have fun, we build a family, we die and then nothing. I walked though hell and thought that it was what I wanted. I actively denied God because I didn't want to change my ways. When I did cry out for help there didn't seem to be an answer. When I look back on this time, even in the depths of my apathy, no, pure rejection of the Lord, he was there and saving me in ways I could not see at the time.

Much love man, we've all been there. But don't sit where your at an settle for what you have. Want more and want Him. God wants you bro, he hand picked you and put you on this platform to remind people that were all human and damn right were sinners. But if we weren't broken we wouldn't need a savior. Trust Him. Granted it takes time but just be willing because He willingly died in hopes we would love Him. You can't blame Him for the struggle when we have a free will to create our own. All your doing is making claims without giving any viable evidence that God exists. Your doing the exact same thing that any other Christian would do either you have read the whole bible and ignore the verses where it says to kill or you've only read the good verses and when someone tries to show you the evidence that God doesn't exist you close your ears and decide not to listen. God is evil and there's evidence that can easily be found in the bible. Stop preaching the word and take the time out to read. jthebeast123 124 Look bro I'm not trying to preach anything here. I'm simply sharing a thought with him of the experiences I've had with God. And honestly I don't think you've read the entire bible so then it gives me reason not to believe anything your saying either. But I'm not here to argue. And if you do find yourself reading the scriptures you'd understand that the central foundation of Christianity is love and God is love. When Jesus walked the earth he expressed love on people. He healed the sick, He castes out demons, and lived as a perfect man in a sinful word. Granted we live in a world full of murder, theft, and corruption but it's people who create that. And God is a God of war because if there is evil in the world which the devil resides, then there will always have to be a spiritual battle fought to defend the Kingdom. And I'm not saying that you are, but if you consider God dead or nonexistent then how is He evil. I mean I wouldn't blame someone for being mean or nice and the cause of my terrible life if they didn't exist because then they can't change my circumstances, so why bother.

I don't think you have anything to apologize about. I don't believe God would expect an apology for such a real confession. I believe God desires for our realness, not for us to put a smile on our face in our doubts and thank Him when we have so many concerns and questions (Even though I do believe He desires for us to be thankful). ahh I can't wait for part 2! This is amazing! I love your spoken word. It really hits home. We are all on a path and we have to go through doubts about what we believe in. we need to decide if we should keep going the same route or a try a different one where maybe others don't agree. But that is how we grow. That is something I had to learn this past year. Sometimes testing the so called "sinner" path is the best path because it is the one we can grow the most in. its the one that makes you question yourself, your beliefs and gets you out of your comfort zone. it can make you understand the world more. the safe route where everyone is on your side and agrees with your decisions sometimes is not the best. People who are saying they can relate to this and understand it don't truly know God! I've been a Christian my whole life. And if I didn't have God in my life I don't know how I could cope everyday! Just because your a Christian doesn't mean your free from troubles and hurt but God does say he will never leave you or forsake you. It's more than just "religion" it's about having a relationship with God, praying and reading his word. It can be hard but if u spend time with him then you will truly see and know who God is. I'm still learning. I'm so far from perfect. But I believe that Jesus died for me and that I'm forgiven. Jesus still loves you, he loves everyone.
