Yeaaaa this is part of it but there’s another part . the problem is that people aren’t seeing the value of their unique features 💕 . The problem is that people don’t see just how beautiful they really are . The problem is the looking in the mirror and saying “I’m so ugly” “Everyone is prettier than me” “I’m not good enough.” The problem is people not seeing that they are they’re own individual human being. Cordero Roman your Video helped me so much, my problem is or I mean the reason why I don't think that I am beautiful is that I've been bullied from 1st grade to the middle of 9th grade. (We have 12 years of school here in Germany) 9 years! And Just because a girl thought I stole her "best friend" but I didn't notice that she thought that she just began to bully me until nobody wanted to so sth with me anymore. I thought that I am worthless and ugly but through your video I feel better now. Because although you're not a part of my real life I have the feeling that you believe in me. In us. Your community. You're such a great KZbinr and I wish that there are more people like you in the world. I always thought "what ist wrong with me?" But now I figured out that there's Just something wrong with the way some people react. I mean there were so many people in my school, telling me "you're such a pretty and nice girl and I think that you'd be a really good friend but if I do sth with you I might get bullied too." And I was so shocked about that. I am in therapy since 1st Grade but I get better :) Now I have built so much more self confidence compared to the past and although I don't have much confidence I see the Change. And you were a part of it. Now I have some good friends ( unfortunately one of them isn't at my school) because I tried to ignore the haters (and it worked a little). Next year I'll go to a different school and I am so happy for that because it is a special school where I'll have the oportunity to also do my bachelor in psychology. You were one of the people that made me happy, believe, remember your projects in the past where you told people that they're beautiful for example? That was when it began and I want to thank you because YOU are such a great person and without knowing it you did so much for me I can not thank you enough! Thanks for everything!

You are beautiful in your own way. Wanna know why? "Beauty" is, in most cases, predefined, standardized and normalized. BUT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "NORMAL". We're all differen't, we behave differently, look different, we don't all have the SAME genes. How can you standardize things, or in this case, people, if they differ from each other? I get insecure over the stupidest things. It's not just my personality or the way i look at this point, it's if I blink to much, or if I breath to hard, if I eat to much, if I cough to much, if my smile sounds funny, If I I drink too loudly, if I look at the ground to much. Every time I build this wall of confidence the second someone looks my way, that wall is torn apart. I can't go outside and not feel like I'm being judged. I can't eve be around my Family anymore. Everyone's always saying something about me and eventually it gets hard to hold in. So you kinda sit there, by yourself, and cry. You break down, you scream, but no one cares. I gained a bit of weight (a little chubby) but I learned to love the way my legs jiggle and yes being hairy sucks, but it doesn't define you, you're beautiful and I want you to know it will get beter, the teenage insecurity will pass, I promise you. I battled an eating disorder for years and I beat it once I found the key to increasing confidence. I started to ask myself if I talk about my friends and my loved ones the way I talk about myself, and then I identified the things I would never say about a best friend and evicted that internal bully out of my head. If your words you tell yourself is considering bullying if it's to somebody else then it's bullying to yourself too and you will never be happy or love yourself as long as you are bullied every day by yourself. Don't let that monster live rent free in your mind space! It doesn't belong there! So how do you cure it? You correct yourself. You catch yourself in the thought (I suck) and correct with what you would tell a friend (no that's not true, you are valuable and a great friend) and repeat the corrected version over and over each time the bully voice says it and after a few back and forth it will silence faster and faster and in the end not show up at all. I recently gained weight around my hips and can't fit in my favorite pants and my old eating disorder self would have turned super destructive but now I don't care, in fact I love myself even more! I love myself just as much as I love my loved ones and what others think of me is none of my buisness. :)

I just found this and I was sent in tears. All my life I’ve felt ugly and I sure as hell know I am. Yes, I’m insecure. Yes, I have depression. Yes, I have anxiety. Yes, I have a lot of mental illnesses that make this so much worse, but at the end of the day there’s a reason why anyone would feel like this. People aren’t telling them how much they’re worth. Society has too many damn labels and it’s time to get rid of them. All of you have an ethereal beauty. If you don’t know what that is, search it up. I know it's weird to post personal stuff about life on KZbin comments but these words really meant something to me. I've been bullied my whole life because of my looks, by my dad or people at school. This was so nice to hear.... Media and stuff have destroyed my self image and wrecked my personality.... I always keep comparing me to everyone else out there. It's a struggle ... I hate taking the bus or the train because it's a "place" where many people have nothing to do but wait .... and they keep looking around and looking at other people and it makes me feel so insecure: I know they see me and they are all better than me. I feel like we all feel alone, but that’s exactly what brings us together. We all go through a phase of doubtful ness and wanting change and it really sucks. It really does. If you are so insecure about yourself, maybe leave social media for a day or just take a break from life and do all the embarrassing things you want to do alone, where no one is watching. Build up from that till you can find that small gateway to feeling true freedom.

Not all people think like this though. I wish all people thought that beauty is what’s on the inside not on the outside. It’s hard to surround yourself with positive people because honestly there’s berly anyone like that nowadays. I tried for 20 years to become confident but it didn't work because I was still defining worthiness by wrong standards and by what other people said confidence means. I didn't realize my worth is not defined by my looks or how much attention I get from men, or how loud and popular I am. Find out what really matters to you. For me, reading feminist books did a lot. Honestly I think that it also takes time because the brain is not fully developed until 25 (I don't know how old you are though). I have meds now because maybe the long years of negative thinking have brought me too far, but finding help for mental and mood issues is really important.
