As an actual lesbian, I'd NEVER sign on for a therapist like that. Besides the obvious creepy ick factor of being alone in a room with a clear man claiming to be a lesbian and feeling more like prey than a patient, the last kind of therapist I'd want is one who is not only nuts, but who also hasn't even worked out his own issues. How could I trust a guy with so many clearly unresolved issues to help me deal with mine, and who is actively harming my community with his clownshit nonsense?

@@ankavoskuilen1725 These days 'poly' means 'I can't commit'. Like 'ENM' it's code for someone who uses others. One person is the 'nestmate' paying the bills or providing some other stability. The other person lives in a promiscous lifestyle. Imagine being entirely happy and comfortable holding a relationship with one person potentially for the rest of one's life, not being driven by a 'need' to find what these people call a 'unicorn' or to sleep around constantly. I liken correct poly to be akin to riding two horses. If you can't ride a single horse, what are you doing mounted on two? By the way....those two better get along as well, or they won't run at a similar pace and you'll get thrown. This analogy is why nearly all those relationships fail. They rush in violating trust, boundaries and consent which are critical for any healthy relationship -- even basic friendships. It's also why, despite being polyfi, I keep that shit to myself for the most part. Those people are sick in the head and leave a trail of destruction in their wake and I don't want to be associated with ther ilk.

Try being a therapist trying to work with client’s who are nonbinary and poly and their primary concern is relationship drama and jealousy. Kind of hard to present that this has rarely worked out historically and is why the majority of the world opts to settle down with one partner eventually. I mean you are free to be in any relationship you wish but expect to put in more emotional work the more partners are involved. Every choice has its downside.

@@VuDuGrrrrl8075this is the dumpster fire stuff I would see on Reddit. People there dog on anyone that has boundaries. They hardcore shame straight men for having boundaries for women but they’ll dog on anyone for healthy boundaries or even boundaries that may reveal that person is insecure. For example if a man says he doesn’t like his gf or wife having male best friends. Everyone on there will say he’s just insecure and needs to get over it or it’s a red flag and she needs to leave him. He could be insecure but that shows he knows what his limit is and it’s not wrong to ask that in a partner. If the partner can’t do that then I guess work on it or move on but he is not in the wrong for stating whatever boundary it is. These are the same people that support those in a poly relationship which is completely lunacy. These same individual will be dumbfounded when they get cheated on. Not realizing the way they navigate relationships is not right or they’re the problem.

Between the gay men purposefully seeking out a Christian baker for their wedding cake, and the NB people denying science and forcing gendered stereotypes on people, I stopped from going full liberal because I just couldn't support that crazy train. When I saw that, I jumped off and I'm someone who would have fallen victim to their ideas if this was a thing when I was growing up. Because I was a tomboy and hated being a girl. But as I grew up, I discovered my feminine side and am happily a female! Based on my own lived experience, I felt like these NB people were just mocking my existence basically. Because I couldn't just be a girl who likes masculine things. Because of how I was as a kid, that helped me prevent going full liberal and I thank god every day I never went full liberal. I always felt like people should be allowed to be people and do whatever they please as so long as it doesn't infringe on other people's rights. I ALWAYS held that belief which is why I was originally very supportive of the community. Plus, I'm bi. But when they tried to force that baker to bake a cake he didn't want to, I felt like that was crossing the line even if I didn't agree with said baker. I put myself in his shoes and thought how I would feel if I was made to bake a cake that I didn't feel comfortable with. No one should be forced to do anything, regardless of the discrimination laws, which is why I was glad that it went in his favor!

As a Christian conservative from a family of Christian conservatives, I absolutely love you and your channel! I empathize with the struggles you face in gender dysphoria, and while in your position I would personally struggle between my own beliefs and the sorts of choices you have made in your own life, your choices are your own business and I respect you and the direction in which you have taken your life regardless. I love to hear very rational, logical points made by someone who lives a very different life from mine, and a perspective I could never otherwise understand. Moreover, your views and actions are based in reality; you have never required anyone to play that pretend game of believing biology is malleable, nor have you demanded anyone to use certain speech around you. I have heartfelt respect for you, versus the QIA community, for these reasons. My parents (Christian boomers) have struggled with the LGBT lifestyles which go against their beliefs (not to mention the QIA), but regardless they live the values they taught me: everyone is God’s creation, whether or not you agree with how they live their lives. God’s creations are special, and all are deserving of love and grace, no matter what. ♥ It’s God’s job to judge, not ours. Again, though, they respect views based in reality, and my mom has even watched some of your videos with me, and also appreciated your perspectives. That’s far more than I can say for her and my views on the QIA To anyone reading this, I will never claim any religious person agrees with or demonstrates these values, so don’t come at me with “not all.” I only know that these are the behavioral standards taught by the Christian Bible (my parents both have Bible degrees, genuinely) and they have always lived their faith in their actions, and in that way are my baseline standard for my own beliefs and faith. This is true Christianity, whatever anyone else has said or misrepresented. And now that I’ve said my piece, I’ll get off my own little soapbox. Keep up the great work, Marcus! ♥

My brother (in the 80’s) wanted his nails painted because I had mine done. My mom painted one finger with blue paint. He was happy with that. He wanted cabbage patch kids and my little ponies because I had them. He had a “boy” cabbage patch kid and a blue pony. In return, I played in the dirt building forts and we made Lego things and matchbox car tracks. He is now the most manly guy I know. He owns a construction business and is a great dad. He builds engines and owns a giant boat that they spend summers on (he’s built boat engines before). If he was parented by a lib - he may have been told he was a girl and would have missed out on his life. Liking girl things doesn’t mean you’re a girl. I never wear dresses and I like hiking. Fav colors are black and blue and gray. I’m 100% woman. I’m tired of people thinking these things change you somehow.

It was tricky before, it’s become a circus now. I have a few friends who are therapists and they tell me that the reason they got into the field was to figure themselves out. And they’re normal! The sessions are about the clients! It’s called professionalism.

I'm nearly 50yo and over the course of my lifetime I've come to the conclusion that way too many people choose professions they're totally unqualified for due to their own personal issues. Becoming an "authority" in a field vindicates and reaffirms insecure, needy people who don't know how to deal with themselves. They make their personal issue the core of their professional identity way too often. No wonder the community of "professional therapists" is full of broken, insecure, needy narcissists looking for affirmation and praise from their patients while doing absolutely unproductive, one could say destructive, work. Despicable.

You said it, Marcus. A therapist is supposed to treat a patient and put themselves aside. If any therapist told me their pronouns, heterosexual or not, I'd walk away. Clearly, they are more about themselves than they are practicing their profession.

So they mask their incompetence as therapists." That's why I would never seek out a therapist. Trans women identifying as lesbians is questionable to begin with... but to do so while sporting a beard is obnoxious beyond belief. I don't even think most people would care if these people were in touch with reality and just happy being themselves, living their lives in their own unique way. It's the fact that they aggressively force their way into the woman category that puts people off.

Just like I don't go see male doctors for my female needs, does it make me sexist? No, it's just who I'm comfortable with, and if you're not comfortable with a therapist therapy will not work.

As a “conservative Christian” I appreciate your content. I’m subscribed to both you, and Blaire White. I may not advocate for certain lifestyles, but as you alluded to, I certainly do have deep compassion on individuals who experience gender dysphoria. I can’t imagine the pain and confusion and ongoing stress that must create. I personally battle with body dysmorphia.. and while I know it is not quite the same, I can empathize with feeling deeply uncomfortable with my own body and having to do my best to “accept myself” even when I’m constantly reminded of my insecurities. I appreciate the perspectives you share. When individuals, like the ones you showed are the “voice” of all people with different “sexual identities”, it can make it a lot more difficult to feel any type of compassion and not outright disgust. But you’re a voice of reason and you seem level headed enough and sure of yourself. I wouldn’t wish gender dysphoria on anyone and those are things I pray about. That people battling with that will feel loved and valued for who they are. That they will embrace their identity in Christ and accept the deep love He has for everyone. That we are all created in God’s image and he didn’t make any mistakes and we live in a fallen world that is filled with pain and distortion. I battle with very deep, heavy insecurities that have greatly taken a toll on my overall mental health.. and I see this as another area of deep pain and uncertainty and a feeling of not belonging or being “good enough”. I pray for healing and security and peace and protection. Especially for any children battling with these burdens and for them to have a “healthy” support system.

I had a case manager that was non binary what i did was start talking about how people who claim to be non binary make a joke outta trans people. I also started talking about how they basically made my progress turn into a political talking point. That i was perfectly happy telling people "hey so im not a traditional female but im okay being a masculine woman and if you don't try to push stereotypes on me would really go along way in you respecting me as a person. My name is Tina and that's all you need to know about me." People would tell me "I feel like im talking to a man but then i look at you and see a beautiful woman. You're like the best of both worlds." Now I'm pushing myself into the closet because i don't want to be called anything but my name which took along time to deal with.

These young adults just break my heart. Where did all these mental health issues come from? It seems they are trying so hard to be unique and interesting so they make these sad & ridiculous scenarios & labels up. They simply come across as desperate and self-hating. What caused this generation to feel this way? I am much older, a GenX. Many of us had shit parents, divorced parents, working parents that we might run into once in a while at the dinner table so we pretty much were forced to raise ourselves. We should be just as damaged but we never identified as victims! We just got on with it.
