So we as a family could buy on the island, move over and work remotely for our uk employers no questions asked? Wife is a housing professional tutor so it’s remote. I would look at investments and finish my community development roles and work online.

The biggest problem with an island like this is providing the basics to the residents. If the ships stop coming from the mainland you're in trouble. Just like the most idyllic islands in Thailand they struggle to get alot of people to move there on a permanent basis because there is no medical facilities worth talking about. Especially when people moving to those islands or one like this are usually older people with a high net worth who need the medical facilities the most.

I am attracted to the lack of electromagnetic radiation on Sark , there are very few safe areas now in the UK for living with Electromagnetic hypersensitivity. We are under attack on the mainland with the all invasive 5g, before long thousands of citizens may be forced to leave the UK if they can find safe means of travel or live as tourtured prisoners.

@@mattball7074 if your father is Irish you should be able to claim Irish citizenship and go live on Sark easily. Overall, same visa options as Guernsey yes

@AnnSisuLiv - your statement sounds about right BUT then again he mentions that the real estate is a complicated one so he doesn't go into detail here. He did say there are webinars or some meeting where it's explained in detail. I guess if you are going to invest you better get youself a real estate lawyer to read the fine print with every single jot & title because that's where they get you & really it's no one's fault but your own. And it's your $/€, your investment vs. a highly experienced, well established realtor wjo knows the ins & outs of the business. In summary.... you better know what you are getting yourself into & look up this "Swen" guy to see how reputable he is. I pray that he is honest & a reputable one.

If there is a high net worth exodus from the UK it will be to Guernsey , not Sark. Daily life on Sark is a complete culture change. Nothing happens quickly on Sark. Improving existing hotels would benefit the Sark economy but only in the tourist months. This is a long term - 10 year vision but way too risky. Good luck with your plans. I'm out.

Too hardcore underdeveloped. Unless every other territory goes away, it'll be an impossible task for Sark to catch up with the numerous comfortable and livable options available. I wish them well and they'll attract a few adventurous types for sure, but the demographic will change so much and eventually fracture such a tiny place too much IMO. Good luck though.

Well, you can’t say no one wants to live on the island. Many people do like to live on islands some like tropical climate such as the Caribbean islands and some like cooler islands, such as ice, Iceland, Jersey , etc..
