When I was a little boy, I cried when he died. When my mom told me how he died, I argued and never fully accepted how he died because I was a child and thought only bad people did drugs and surely my idol wouldn't do that. I wanted to be him. As a chubby blonde kid, I used to imitate him in front of the tv for my parents on Saturday nights.

Same here. And then I became that person self medicating my depression with drugs. Just like chris I absolutely love to make people laugh amd have fun weather ots making fun of myself or acting a fool. If I can make somebody laugh it makes me feel good l do it because I know how the darkness and emptiness feel and I dont want anybody to ever have to feel that way. In glad I sobered up I was either going to be judged by 12 or carried by 6 I choose to live and get clean. And although I battle worse demons now I know now life is worth living...

I'm young, born in the late 80s. My dad introduced me to Farley, along with the great comedy movies of the early 90s. More than I enjoy being alive, I'd give it up with no reserve to have Chris alive today. The man is a true form of happiness to this day, and in my darkest I can look upon his work and laugh, because life should be silly and we only miss what's gone

I watched something on one of Chris Farley's heroes John Candy recently. One of John's friends said that John was always giving 110% to make everyone else's life better all the time that he could have stood to give that much to himself. Chris seemed to be very similar that way and the fact that both dealt with self esteem issues pushed them to give so much of themselves all the time. You only wish they understood how loved they were while they were still here.

There are people who do nothing special, nothing super cosmic. But when they leave their place remains empty. And you understand that no one in this World can replace this person. And only then do you realize how lucky you are to have such a person by your side.

I see his heart to this day...however, I do not think anyone truly realized how lonely he was. He always put others before himself, but did not take time for self-care. He would have been an excellent father and husband. What a talented and wonderfully made human being you were Chris.

It seems like quite a lot of them did, but nothing they did or said could ever get him to really feel better. They would always talk about how he said he didn't really think he was funny and that he thinks he's just fat and stupid or that he doesn't think girls really like him for him or that his success aren't as big as his failures... i guess it just got to a point that nobody could really do anything to shift his perspective a bit and not be so hard on himself. It's sad, some say he was really trying to stay away from his demons the last few months of his life, but he was just spiralling so quickly.

I grew up watching Farley. I remember my first year of college hearing Farley had passed, but no one was shocked everyone had seen it coming .. back then so many legends died young that it was just another person you grew up watching passing away. I think Tupac has just died a few months before, and Bradley Nowell a year before, Shannon hoon 2 years before, Kurt Cobain 3 years before. . You got use to it. I didn’t recognize at the time how sad of a moments they really were.

When Will Sasso says _“He’s as good a dancer as Patrick Swazey is”_ although that may be true, one of the things that *MADE* that Chippendales sketch was the fact that Swazey, as much of a master dancer as he was, while dancing in that sketch, try as he may’ve he just *COULD NOT STICK WITH HIM AS A DANCER*

I wish I could thank David Spade. So many people would be bitter about being in a duo. David seems to totally understand, accept and deal with it. To explain it in a comparison; Imagine if you had had a sibling die twenty years ago and everyone you knew was going to ask you about your dead brother somewhere in every conversation. I wouldn't deal with it well.

Ohmygosh he was only 33 when he died??!! What a sad loss for all of us. I’m his generation and I watched him perform back in the 1990s and early 2000s and he always had me laughing in tears. Damned drugs don’t do it y’all.... I raised my 2 boys by myself and they’re grown now. My youngest went to drug rehab 3 times. The first time he was a high school senior and I put him there. Then he went again a year later at age 19 and yet again a year later when he was 20. My point is PLEASE y’all to anyone of you who are struggling with drug addiction please accept the help that’s available to you. If you have to then do it in Chris Farley’s memory and in the memory of all the many others who lost their battle. ❤️

I'm so sad for his family and friends. We only hear the rumors of how awesome he was. They actually knew he was awesome. They saw it and experienced it. Everyone says what a kind, fun guy he was. I'm certain he was. Chris, I know u know how much u meant to everyone. Us, the fans love and miss you so much. I can only imagine how much your friends and family miss you. Rest in peace. ❤

To be honest Chris seems to have always been a user. We were blessed with a man who could control his habit but didn't know when to stop 😢 We love you Chris Farley ❤️ thank you brother

@@natethornton5646 i would of done anything chris's heart would desire if he was still with us. I love him unconditionally and still do despite his life being cut short from drugs. A little love, care and help kicking some bad habits could have saved his life possibly. I would definately of kicked it in a van down by the river if i could bring my fishing poles:-)

Chris Farley is a legend of comedy, no question. He wasn't the best human or friend though either. I miss him dearly.
