Yeah same here. I absolutely love Chris farley I'm 30 now born in 93 I was just a little girl when I first ever watched Tommy boy with my dad he loved him too and all those guys. I was instantly hooked by his personality and comedy still watch his movies and sketches today and think of my dad. Chris was truly one of a kind you only come across a human like that once in a life time.

I watched your Norm Macdonald doc and thought it was fantastic. I clicked this one just now and see you only have 9.2K subs. That is SHOCKING. Admittedly I just now will subscribe, but I hope this vid does just as well and other viewers follow suit- you deserve a hefty following! EDIT: just finished the vid. Great work! If you care to hear constructive criticism- I didn't like how sad the ending played into. It is def a super sad ending to his life, especially with context, but maybe something more honoring or celebrating the joy he brought everyone while he was here or some such. Just felt a little off with the sad music playing to a black screen for the last 20 secs or so, right after the bit about his brother finding him/putting the rosary in his hand. Great stuff tho! def subscribed!

I do the same thing with comedy to deal with trauma of life etc and so does my whole family. They forgot at the end after they learnt it isn’t the only coping mechanism you don’t have to ‘manage emotion’ with something cheerful. That implies sadness is a bad emotion to be counteracted. It is ok to just be sad and feel it, then you can work through it healthily. That is what I have learnt from this mindset. Sometimes life is shit and we just need to cry and we can’t joke it away all the time. 😂❤ RIP Chris I wish you felt your true worth mate. Cos we bloody adored you. 🎉😂😊

I believe what's being described is called toxic positivity. It doesn't get talked about very often because most people can't understand how something considered a positive could possibly be toxic unless they have experienced it themselves. I can't say for sure, but I feel it must take on many forms. Robin Williams, for example, nobody would describe as being toxic. He was as beloved as Keanu Reeves is today (except Keanu isn't known for being a comedian, though dude does have most excellent comedic timing.) But we all know how things ended with Robin. The man who made the world smile was unable to make himself happy. I am not speaking out of judgement by any means; I myself am deeply depressed in general and regularly contemplate/attempt ending it all....I am toxic to myself. (Actually, for me it's mostly the PMDDemon. Nearly every time I "go there" my stupid period shows up not long after...sometimes hours later, sometimes a few days, but yeah. I don't have access to doctors, which adds to the problem, so I genuinely don't know if I will survive to see menopause.) Robin was also toxic to himself. Many of us are. Not everyone who struggles with self-love will "go there" but we're not exactly nice to ourselves, are we? But when we're around most other people, many of us front like we're all good because we don't want to bring others down with "our bs" but as I'm typing this, I realize maybe that's not being as nice as we think it is while we're struggling. We're not giving our friends or family the opportunity to show they care when we're keeping it all bottled up, are we? Like, idk if Robin reached out to anyone just before...maybe he did, which makes it all the more tragic. But if he didn't reach out....how could anyone be there for him if they didn't know? I'm sure we would all prefer a world where Robin Williams (and Chris Farley) were still here with us in 2024 sharing stories about how they overcame their issues and being low-key advocates where we listen to them speak and find it helpful or inspiring or something, y'know? Idk if I'm making any sense. I just smoked some good weed for the first time in "a while" ....24 hours, but for a chronic, that's a while.

It is very sad he didn't know if he was funny or not and had to wonder if women sincerely liked him or if it was only his fame and wealth. Some of the laughs were about his image as a big guy, but he was really funny besides that--I wish he would have known that. Too bad he didn't have a better support friend or a counselor that he really connected with. He was a big loveable teddy bear. Sad he left so soon. I hope he is feeling true love from our Father in Heaven now.

This 'documentary' contains information that I had previously been unaware of, I am appreciative of that. But there are so many distracting mistakes regarding audio and editing. I don't usually complain about it with first-time or new creators because everybody has to start somewhere. However it's unacceptable in this case with the high amount of ads that we are forced to watch. TDLR: The quality is too low for you to be able to profit from this video, I'd love to be able to take back what I've given you via viewership.

@@adellegiles377 Farley was anything but _devout_ unless you are referring to his practically religious devotion to a life of excess and sin. He was a glutton of grotesquely epic proportions. His use and abuse of _not only food_ but powerful mind-altering, body annilating drugs both licit and illicit _none of which ultimately held any legitimate, life-affirming purpose_ was carried out on a legendarily, monumental scale. In addition, he was a fornicator and notorious whoremonger. This is merely what we know of the man's "dark side" from the record disclosed. God only knows what else he may have been up to that has remained hidden from public view. If Farley's life and behavior serves as an example of what you consider representative of what it means to be a "devout Catholic" then I shudder to think _from such twisted a perspective_ of what someone in your deluded state would require of church members - in terms of the commission of immoral, unholy acts in order to qualify as having strayed (from the flock), lapsed or fallen.
