Brother, I believe a supercharger would be better. You don't really get much of an exhaust pulse from this engine. Also, placement of the air intake might help as well. Anyways, the main thing is to avoid black smoke at startup for me. And I plan to install a supercharger for that(I have a Suraj) . Just a suggestion.

Matte Black I don't know for now. Obviously the supercharger has to be matched with the engine, but once I'm in the ball park, it would be a matter of adjusting the fuel pump stroke(only slightly, dont want the pump nozzle set to seize) and of insrallign( as I have been thinking) a sort of a butterfly valve arrangement to control the amount of air. It's my guess that you are a seafarer :)

Go for a supercharger bro instead of turbo as the turbo may not go well with the exhaust output,,, supercharger simply needs a belt from engine and also have no lag,,, exhaust will rotate the turbo but not in linear way,,, as the REs have longer stroke length,,, and also install a intercooler to cool down the hot air from supercharger

Put some diesel fuel or penetrating oil down the spark plugs and hole and let it soak for a few days. Then try to start it.

Sometimes when a diesel sits for a long period of time the advance mechanism gets stuck in the injection pump....very common problem at least here in USA. I would take it out and use penetrating oil and work it back and forth until it moves easily. Then maybe it will start. Take a wrench and crack open the injection line and see if fuel comes out...if not then it's your inj.pump

Adding a turbo on an engine made to revv at lower revolution per minute. I hate to say, you won't get any benefit in power. Supercharger is another story. It's next to impossible(not adding turbo but extracting a decent power).

U'll need to upgrade your cam shaft, pistons, de head n injectors.. moreover, u'll need to make sure u hav proper cooling.. get help from an expert firm lik Red Rooster Performance, Race Dynamics or Race Concepts who have experience in turbocharging motors or else it's pretty easy to end up grenading your engine.. all experts usually suggest de use of forged internals.. but sadly, getting forged parts for Royal Enfield bikes is pretty difficult.. u might have to hav em imported from de UK or Australia as there r s few companies there which specialize in building performance parts for Royal Enfields..

But the catch here is that it is a Diesel bike and doesn't have any electronics which run it. All analogue. For cooling i am thinking of using the engine oil itself. May b connect a oil cooler. Not sure about bit yet.
