The Eagles went through a period, starting in the 80s, when a lot of members released solo albums, and Don had a huge hit with “Boys of Summer”. Both the guys trading off on the solos as well as the drummer all had solo careers as well outside of the Eagles with many solo hit songs. Truly the definition of a super group in reverse. A band that when they went huge, spun off 3 solo artists after the band broke up, who each had hit albums of their own. Then in the last decade or so they all got back together again.

The guitarist wearing the bandanna is JOE WALSH. He started his career by replacing TWO guitarists for the JAMES GANG (Funk #49, The Bomber, Walk Away), then he started BARNSTORM (Turn To Stone, Help Me Through the Night; Rocky Mountain Way) and then he joined THE EAGLES, along with the other lead guitarist, Don Felder, to give them a more rock feel. Joe has also done a lot of solo work (LIfe's Been Good, A Life of Illusion, The Confessor). If you want to hear the singer's voice again, I recommend an early song of theirs, WITCHY WOMAN... as his voice matches the lyrics perfectly. "Raven hair, and ruby lips, sparks fly from her fingertips...." AND Joe met the sister of Ringo Starr's wife (Marjorie Bach, sister to actress Barbara Bach) and so Joe and Ringo are now brothers in law. They did a good song for Ringo called POSTCARDS FROM PARADISE, which includes a lot of Beatles song titles in the lyrics: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZayh3WHjb-Xqrc
