Every single member of The Eagles was also a singer. These guys really didn't slack off when it came to their vocal work! Take a listen to Seven Bridges Road if you want a sample of all of them singing and harmonizing perfectly. And then when you want to be absolutely blown away by a single vocalist, watch Queensryche - Take Hold of the Flame, live. I mean it... Queensryche. Your ears will never forget that vocalist once you hear him!

The drummer whose voice you really liked is Don Henley (he’s from Texas). The Eagles went through a period, starting in the 80s, when a lot of members released solo albums, and Don had a huge hit with “Boys of Summer”. I always loved that song, and it’s the first one I thought of when you asked for recommendations about songs he sings…highly recommend!

Both the guys trading off on the solos as well as the drummer all had solo careers as well outside of the Eagles with many solo hit songs. Truly the definition of a super group in reverse. A band that when they went huge, spun off 3 solo artists after the band broke up, who each had hit albums of their own. Then in the last decade or so they all got back together again.

The guitarist wearing the bandanna is JOE WALSH. He started his career by replacing TWO guitarists for the JAMES GANG (Funk #49, The Bomber, Walk Away), then he started BARNSTORM (Turn To Stone, Help Me Through the Night; Rocky Mountain Way) and then he joined THE EAGLES, along with the other lead guitarist, Don Felder, to give them a more rock feel. Joe has also done a lot of solo work (LIfe's Been Good, A Life of Illusion, The Confessor). If you want to hear the singer's voice again, I recommend an early song of theirs, WITCHY WOMAN... as his voice matches the lyrics perfectly. "Raven hair, and ruby lips, sparks fly from her fingertips...." AND Joe met the sister of Ringo Starr's wife (Marjorie Bach, sister to actress Barbara Bach) and so Joe and Ringo are now brothers in law. They did a good song for Ringo called POSTCARDS FROM PARADISE, which includes a lot of Beatles song titles in the lyrics: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZayh3WHjb-Xqrc

I saw them on this tour in Minneapolis (Bloomington) at the old Met Stadium. Severe thunderstorms, tornado warnings, heavy rain, but the band played on. We cut up pieces of the infield tarp and used it as rain gear. In those days security never searched people so we had pocket knives. I recall Pablo Cruise and Steve Miller were the opening acts. I also seem to remember something about purple microdot. Ah, the 70’s.

I don't know how people crtic a song when they pause every other minute! Especially with great great music that is the 70's! Today's music not so much when you have all these gadgets that will do it for you.. but kudos for you young people that are keeping it alive!!🎸🎵🎶🎤🎧😀❤️
