Should try out the infection series mods especially the Flesh that Hates, Sculk, Wither, Parasite, and all that good stuff. There is even a zombie one that you can get infected by and when you perish in game by either friend, foe, or the infection an infected with your skin is spawned. It'd be especially fun if you turn off particle effects so you can't tell when your friends are infected and they just come up to you and suddenly they just burst apart and an infected version of them gives you a little surprise.
