Car Profile FAQ;
- Why Maximum RPM and not Maximum Performance on the Fuel Test? This is because not everyone uses bumper so they can't see the rev range. They can however see the Bar and that's why we use that.
- Why are you using Tyre Wear? This is because the official Balance of Performance is done using Fuel and Tyre wear so will be more accurate.

I enjoy these Car Profiles of the more obscure cars, like the Aston, McLaren F1, Nissan Group 5, M3 GT, etc. a lot more to be honest to see how far they are actually off and where they might be usable over the normal meta stuff everyone uses all the time anyway. Thanks a lot for these videos!

Completely agree and it’s one of the things I’d most want changing in GT7. For me, it’s one of my all time favourite GT cars and it’s just a shame to see it nerfed so much. I’d love to see it move to Gr.2 or even if they ever mix up and more fine tune the grouping. Would be better racing with the McLarens and Mercedes of the late 90’s early 00’s. That being said, it’s my go-to car for grinding at lemans. Just a shame that a lot of players who didn’t get to see it dominate and battle Corvette at Le Mans will think “it’s just another GT3 car”

This car's gearing was made to save fuel at Le Mans with its original power. With the power cut to fit it into Gr.3 6th is like hitting a wall. BTW, we'd need a Gr.2,5 to fit these cars, they're not nearly fast enough for Gr.2

Theres even cars in Gr. 2 that are not fast enough for Gr. 2 tbf, this system just doesn't work for many cars we have in GT7

This was one of the first cars I bought. Very stable and a great car and I literally have the exact same livery on it. It isn’t as easy to drive as the group 3 cars and not as fast as the newer cars but will perform pretty well on some of the tracks-in default settings. When you are able to play with the suspension settings and gear ratios it’s actually pretty competitive. The BOP has never been correct. It’s never the same. It’s all over the shop. I do love these comparison videos. It’s a shame PD can’t get the BOP right. For me it literally feels like they choose what car will be good this week,and set the BOP accordingly

Love this car because of childhood nostalgia. On the subject of the whole gr3 vs 2 thing it's performance (stock, no bop) is much closer to gr3 than gr2. I think the car can be balanced in gr3 with bop though. Plus maybe a handling adjustment

I love the Aston Martins. I can understand the nerfing in the game but I’d really like to see a fully non nerfed version. It would be great for endurance races.

The non-nerfed version is the car with the BoP off. You can drive it anytime

Used to drive this car a lot, before the physics update. Not so good now. But then other cars became useable

I hate how bad BoP makes this car. Feels like the lads at PD put max ballast on it and called it a day. I hope they buff it someday, I much prefer this car to the other Aston Martin.

I reckon these Le Mans cars from years ago need a LM category of their own on GT7 specifically featured and BOPd for Le mans, it's a popular track and seems to be a fav when it's included in a daily race so makes sense and the BOP wouldn't take as long to do as its just one track, so yeah its not really suitable for GT3 or Gr3, we need a LM category of cars.

While I agree that its abit much for GR.3, I sadly don't see it fitting any better in GR.2 for instance. Just look at the two of the cars from the late 90s version of GT1: The BMW Mclaren F1 GTR and the Mercedes CLK LM, cars that are more prototype more then "GT" (And god forbid if they add the 911 GT1 in either 97 Evo spec or 98 spec because its the exact same story) with both having around the same amount of power but having more aero and being far lighter then the DBR9 even by late 90s standards. And then you bring in the GT500 cars both from 2008 (Peak JAF silhouette era cars) and 2016 (Class 1 silhouettes that are basically formula cars with bodies). An actual DBR9 was tested and actually raced against the 2009 GT500 cars and at Suzuka alone, Ironically the track you tested at, it was horrendously slow and off pace despite its power advantage (By as much as 8-10 seconds I think?). If this car is bad against the GR.3 cars it was dumbed down to compete against just at this track alone, imagine how much worse it is against both eras of GT500 cars AND the GT1 cars in its unrestricted form (Who also raced at Suzuka in period). Oh and btw, there's also the 2019 Audi RS 5 Turbo with the DRS advantage on top of it being a Class 1 regs car. Sadly regardless of whats done, the Aston just belongs in a class by itself. Too cumbersome to compete with the silhouette heavy Gr.2 class and frankly too ancient and brutish to compete with a class that is mostly GT3 cars of varying ages both real and fictional that also features two better handling GTE cars, a even older GT1 car (That pretty much screams off in the distance) and only three Japanese vehicles it has a shot to beat purely on being roughly around 8-9 years newer and not having a gearbox literally from the 80s.

Honestly a nice car, though would be cool if there was a gt1 class with actual gt1 esc performance now that there's quite a few of those, also the sound, such a disappointment compared to other games, acc v12 vantage(uses same sound in gt7 as dbr9) sounds so much more real and interesting, even iracing sounds more lively. Anyways, good to see pd game design come in again making oldest car slower than the already old car from 2013
