I AM VOTING In The PHILIPPINES - Filipino Citizenship Rights (Manila Vlog)

AS A FILIPINO CITIZEN, IT IS MY RIGHT TO VOTE IN ELECTIONS... AND I WILL DEFINITELY BE DOING SO.
It isn’t just my right to vote… but something I feel I should be doing. That is why I have decided it is important for me to share in the video today that I registered to vote. Just in case someone reading this hasn’t registered and didn’t know you still can! Just visit the COMELEC website for more information.
I really debated posting this because I don’t want any political debate on this community page…
So please kindly respect that 😊❤️💪

Good job, Kulas! Many times, government employees get a bad rap but every time I have to go to a government agency here in Cebu, I’m always amazed how helpful they care despite being overworked. I found that smiling at them and greeting them respectfully always draws a smile from them and the best service. People just want to feel important and loved. That seems to be a common experience no matter what country you live in. I would testify that we have the same problem here in the US (candidates not being the best or brightest, that is). That's why it's so important that we educate ourselves the best we can on what the candidates will do if they get into office and what they truly represent. I wish the Philippines much success for an improved future in the upcoming election.

Oh my goodness, Manila has CHANGED! I grew up in Pandacan, and worked in Makati. Seeing you pass so many familiar places really made me nostalgic. Also, props for running from BGC to Malacañan. I saw you go down Buendia and saw the Pacific Star Bldg. ( used to work there). The bridge you crossed is the MABINI Bridge, one of several that crosses the Pasig, and the closest to the palace. You mentioned Laperal and I was like, what? But you showed the front and I saw that it was also called Arlegui Guest House. That's the house Cory Aquino lived in when she became President because she refused to live at the palace because it was so associated with Marcos. And DANG, you ran all the way to Paco?! That was a commitment, my friend! I saw you passing Dart St, (Angel Linao now) and was like Paco MALL? Turns out its the old Paco palengke now modernized. My grandparents' house was on Union Street, near Paco Church and we used to go to market at the Paco palengke. And there used to be two huge ukay-ukays on Angel Linao that I used to frequent in college. Thanks for showing me my childhood, Kulas! Oh and I hope you took transpo back home, otherwise, you just ran a marathon!!! Love your vlog! ❣❣❣

Therine looks great in her glasses - very bagay! If people didn't realize how smart she was before by just looking at her, they will now. I love how so many walls in Manila are put to good use with murals. They are so beautiful and enriching with their themes and messages. Such an effective way to uplift the community and add to the aesthetic of the neighborhoods/barangays.

Hi Kulas! I lived in Makati for a year as a teen. I attended school at the old ISM. It was the year after Pinatubo eruption. Love seeing the place on your vlogs as it’s vague in my memory… more than 30+ years ago na. Did a tour of Malacanang as a kid. It was interesting. I’m half pinay. Wish I could get a Philippine passport too. Being Filipina has always been super special to me kasi I grew up in the culture until I left the country with my family at 15 years old. Glad to be able to see it still even through videos. 🫶🏼🌞

Omygoodness running in Manila streets is craaazy. That's a whole cross fit training right there. There is barely any sidewalk to walk on and so many obstructions. The overpass feels like a mini hike to the mountains and doing all that under manila heat and grime!

The golf course in Malacanan is located across the river called Malacanan park. We used to play there when we were in grade school. We’d ride the barge to cross and we’ll be at the palace side. Can you imagine back in the 50’s we can freely go and play in the grounds of presidential mansion?

Dang you're strong Kulas. That is not just a simple 14km one way route. The effort is double because pedestrian streets are just not suitable for walking. Lot's of things to avoid like broken concrete, dog feces, parked vehicles on sidewalks, etc.

Should explore Paco. Thats also a historic place. The market, Dart Street, Paco Park, the house of a former president, the ruins of the grand Paco railway station, etc. Its old name was Dilao which was where the Japanese settlement was put up by the Spanish authorities. There used to be a statue of Takayama a Japanese samurai in Plaza Dilao but with the Skyway 3 dont know what happened to that memorial park. Their church San Fernando de Dilao is a Pro-Cathedral, an alternate cathedral when the Manila Cathedral was being renovated.

You are actually passing by the back of Malacañang Palace (via Arlegui) the front of the palace is actually by the river, and if you want to see it you just ride a river ferry from Pasig going to escolta (which is a nice place to go to) there you will pass by the front of the palace. no video or camera allowed though.

They are actually extending the NSCR (Electric Rail) and normal PNR Trains can't pass through that is why they closed it. They will reopen it once the NCSR project in that area is done. :)

Kulas - Brgy Comembo is part of the territorial dispute between Taguig, Makati and to a lesser extent Pateros. Last year the Supreme Court has ruled with finality that the territory is owned by Taguig. That is the correct decision much to the disappointment of Makati citizens. Comembo is under the 1st district of Taguig. Residents of Comembo will vote for 12 Senators, Taguig-Pateros Congressman, Taguig Mayor, Taguig Vice Mayor and 12 Taguig Councilors.

Since you ran from JP Rizal along the banks of Pasig River to Makati to Tejeros, the intersection with Pedro Gil brings you to San Andres which is part of Manila already. If you cross the railroad tracks then thats Paco Manila.
