So nice watching this video. Full of nostalgia for me. After my father , a Naval officer, retired from the Defence services ,he built a beautiful house on a 1 acre plot of land. He and my mother took on the monumental task of bringing that plot to life. It was completely a jungle then . They took on thottum panni with great earnestness. He used to affectionately refer to this small plot of land ' as 'my estate' There were many coconut, jack fruit , mango, tamarind, teak, irrul, kanjiram, 1pala maram and cashew trees in addition to bamboo, sheema konna, podunni and many beautiful, fragrant flowers. In addition he had planted several young coconut trees and gave them the care which one would give to a child, watering them regularly every evening. Mittum panni, varimbu maada ( re doing /strengthening the terrace walls of each kandam), thottam panni was done meticulously, according to the change of seasons. When they acquired that plot, it had a neglected look. But under achan's constant and dedicated care (he maintained a separate register for the thottam panni expenses, kannukoottaan etc.) the place was transformed into an estate. All that is now gone. Only the happy memories of those wonderful times remain.

Try putting some pacha kakka before u put manure, this will help in maintaining the pH of soil, which will improve the absorption capacity of plant, moreover , another practice which we started is to mix cowdung in a small quantity of water and pour it over the pachilla.... And I am trying from this year not to dig, also extend the circumference as its advised to dig atleast 1.5 to 1.75 mts away from the trunk
