The quote about “Fearing mistakes hurts learning.” Is universal and despite it being said across all fields and age groups, I have seen and experienced many teams who are afraid to test an imperfect demo. From an industrial and also scholarly perspective, you wont know whats specifically wrong until you test it. QA is an important thing to do and it feels like people dont put as much weight on it as they should.

Instead of Gift Card + Hope for Escape you can also use Tri-and-Guess + Hope for Escape. There are very specific circumstances that Tri-and-Guess won't be able to work based on the cards in your opponents extra deck; however, typically the text on Tri-and-Guess effectively translates to: "Either you or your opponent gains 3000 LP". By the time you would ever activate Tri-and-Guess you would already know what deck your opponent is playing. This allows you to go for the typical "Give opponent 3000 LP" -> Hope for Escape combo while also offering the flexibility of gaining 3000 LP yourself to survive attacks, for time rules reasons for TCG tournaments, or to use more card effects that cost life such as Solemn Strike.

8:40 this is extremely true as a younger player knowing the rulings is a must especially in big tournaments even sometimes at a local, you can have people just assume you don’t know anything and try to rule shark you. Sure most of the time it’s accidental but it’s very easy to tell when it’s not.

Because I wasn’t happy, I couldn’t afford the decks to compete, and if I did spend the money I’d be miserable, and the rewards are minimal for my misery, why am I here? I couldn’t afford to have the fun I wanted, so I wasn’t having fun.

I've been a Traptrix pet decker since HAT format, but I want to be good at more than one deck. Problem is, every time I pick up a new deck, I can figure out the lines and such, but I just don't see the same success as when I play Traptrix. I can stick with a deck for a year straight and still not see the results I want and end up going back to Traptrix, but I don't want to be known as Just A Traptrix Player. Any advice?

Josh's dad complaining on stream is funny. I can recommend KMC hyper matte minis, I've had cards sleeved for nearly 10 years with the same sleeve, compared to ultra pros which have split and not lasted. Also don't be put off Economics for those good at it, I did it as my degree but agreed, for everything in life you have to love it to continually do it.

I find myself playing older, more limited decks lately. Been updating my endymion deck for example. I updated ice barrier too. Bought the structures a year ago i believe and updated it to the limit at the time. Felt rewarding to get the support. I find myself not wanting too play the strongest 1 card combo decks. Or decks that are hyper consistent. Last year just post kash format i really enjoyed the diversity. And decks with maybe 9 hand traps. Ygo felt really good then. The hand traps lowered the power ceiling just enough to make the game afterward interactive. But now with decks where half the cards are hand traps. Nah. Ygo jumped the shark to me. I dont want to partake in that power ceiling. But i am really enjoying the older decks and just messing around

Why Maxx “C” is bad for the game? Does the bad thing is not the game? It is cool to win the dice roll and play your combo first without your opponent doing anything, but is not cool to draw lots of cards because of something that is supposed to be “Special” called “Special Summon” ? Where is the logic of TCG Players? The problem is logic and evident, the pace of the game that reached and surpassed its limits years ago.

@xCorvus7x5 ай бұрын
The Special summon is still special today. Unlike the Normal summon, it's impossible for a player to just Special summon a monster of their liking because they either need a card effect that includes a Special summon or a monster with a _special_ clause on their card describing how it can be Special summoned.
@ducky36F5 ай бұрын
Play master duel from plat up and if you’re being honest with yourself it becomes obvious pretty quickly.
@armandonoriega6815 ай бұрын
The biggest problem with Maxx C is the full combo player dropping it. Another issue is that its effect it is not once per duel, so getting multiple maxx c in the same duel is an awful experience. And finally, there are other strong handtraps like droll and Nib that work very well to stop the opponent's combo; and if you don't like handtraps, boardbreakers like Superpoly and DRNM are enough to play your turn.
