Sir, since the construction of nh66 started, nothing has come out about Edappally, first the study was to build a big round about at Edappally junction using the existing highway itself, then the study was done to build a new highway through underground, both of these have come together in an impractical situation.The elevated corridor for the new highway from Edappally to Arur has been decided. It is understood that this reach starts from oberon mall, where studies are underway for a skyway over the Vytyla metro, the dpr of which will be ready soon. Therefore, we are going to start the study for such a skyway from oberon mall to the part of our reach i.e. from Edapally to Kodungallur.Assuming there is no other plan in the current scenario... this seems to be the only way to move this traffic block at edappally, anyway let's wait.

Even though work of flyovers, bridges and underpasses are progressing there is very less road work happening even at the places where canal construction is over. I think the quarry availability issue is not sorted out, which is actually hindering the overall process. As per the report by Indian Express only 15% is completed in last one year time.
