that reminds me of my Dungeon master. Whenever we proposed something with questionable results he asked us "Are you sure?", confirming the action would either yield to something very good or very bad, or in chess term, it would have been either a brilliant move or a terrible blunder, nothing in between.

I'm a deaf girl Anna and play chess so much, no where near your ability, I'm still learning and make some very silly mistakes. Your Mum is much like my Gran who taught me. She could sign instruction, but she sadly passed away, so now basically rely on learning by playing, frustrating at times. I have planned moves, along with playing ahead of my opponent's move, I try hard to control the game. Your breakdown on the end game is a terrific help. Sending you and your Mum a . Thankyou.
