Been waiting for this banger to drop since the sneak peak from the live stream. Way back in 2010 when I was just a little lad my brother introduced me to yugioh using this very deck (and Blackwings but I didn't like them much except for the fact that they have Synchros). Super happy to see Six sam getting some love. Anyway I love these paper videos for rogue decks, it definitely keeps my interest in the format fresh so thank you Keegan for making these! 🔥

played against Tommy today playing Eatos Sams. It’s disgusting. Deck applies immediate pressure and rarely surrenders resource advantage, then he sides in d fissure and it completely turns off my disaster dragon build w/ masked dragon engine.

Do you think Eatos could be a spicy tech in the Simorgh Dragon deck ? The deck would become even more aggro. Even if you can't special it because there is a monster in the GY, you can't still use it to summon Simorgh since it's a Wind monster. Worst case scenario you can special summon it with Dasher if you topdeck it. You could also trigger Eatos' second effect to banish since you play with Equip spells

One of the first paper Edison decks I built was harpies with summoner monk mist valley soldier. Pitch harpie to get the spell monk into mist valley make stardust and then monk and mvs in grave is turn one simorgh. Deck is fun and can win right away but gotta hit your combo pieces.

Have an Edison deck that's consistent but struggles to win games quickly enough? Throw in x3 Eatos! She is the patron saint of "mid" strategies, the answer to their prayers! Seriously, though, she's a great card. I feel like I remember her being a fair bit more expensive years ago than was backed by results at tournaments, so I hope the speculators from back then are getting a decent payout, now that she's finally getting some recognition in a popular alt. format.

Hey so ive been running six sams at the local level for about 4 months and the list is really interesting, the only thing i would try to find room for is reckless greeds. Since you make up card advantage very easily via broken continuous spells, the reckless really adds to the consistency. I was originally running a solidarity version but the eatos is a great teck i think is worth trying

Agree w you for sure, but i tried to test reckless, and the slowness was pretty rough. For example, if you start summoning your sams, and get a draw2 off United, i would much rather draw into a real trap that protects my board instead of a reckless. Reckless can unbrick your hand at the beginning to set up the big plays for the next turn, but drawing into it just always feels bad

I played in my first edison tournament a couple of months ago and i played batteryman and didnt do well lol. But i beat all of my opponents in atleast one duel; except for one guy. Jeremy Bader-2018 YCS Regional Champion and Six Samurai extraordinaire. He has a six samurai edison deck. He is fucking cracked. The quickest round i had that day. 0-2.

From all the testing I've done with sams is Enishi is dead most of the time, something particularly painful in a deck that already is notorious for dead hands. Even outside of the early turns it is surprisingly hard to get two sams in the grave considering the low monster count sams have to run. Perhaps if Enishi was a sam himself and enabled all the synergies it might be worth to run 1 but without having sam in his name he is dead 80% of the time and the other 20% he is not even that good.

The 2 normal summons are good if you also have gateway (ok-ish if you have united), but thats already 4 cards that arent really searchable (gateway, double summon/UO, and 2 six sams).

Have you tested ultimate offering? It’s broken with gateway. It has worked really well for me but I have a higher six samurai monster count

Every card printed is broken with gateway. If you can't convert on gateway without specialized cards that only work with gateway that card is an incredibly inconsistently and frail. Much better to have cards that work with gateway that can also be useful on their own.
