They eat scones not biscuits. Biscuits in the UK is cookies in the US.

The UK has cookies too. Generally, if its hard and snaps, it's a biscuit. If it's softer, it's a cookie.

I get the video isn’t supposed to be that accurate historically so I can forgive that, it’s just supposed to be fun. But please don’t feed ducks bread!!! It contributes to them actually becoming malnourished and dying. I hate that the opportunity wasn’t taken to correct that misconception.

The rule of no one eating before the queen is still a rule and very enforced by Queen Elizabeth. In fact, at a formal seated dinner even in the States, it's considered bad manners to start eating before the host/hostess does. They're supposed to lead the way for the entire meal. And no elbows on the table! ;) LOL Great video, and that salmon looked AMAZING!! :)

That food is amazing. However I just have to correct one thing. The Regency time period was during the early 19th century (1811-1820). Not the 18th century as mentioned. But I am sure it was just a misapeak. It is easy to do. Also the biscuits they ate are not the biscuits we eat. But an American biscuits is more like a British scone and a British biscuit is more like an American cookie. With all this complaining I really did enjoy the video.

Also just to note cause it really bugs me that your flat out getting the history of the regency period so wrong. Regency period on which Bridgerton is based is also called the Georgian period. Victoria was not on the throne in the regeceny period. Your looking for king George as the reigning monarch. Which is noted in bridgerton in reference to the queen's husband who is slowly dying/ suffering dementia through the show while the Queen set the standards for society.

I mean... Bridgerton isn't accurate in allot of ways. The variety of people in high society were all Caucasian and that's about it... they certainly wouldn't be allowing interracial marriages. But it's a fun fantasy and escape for folks to dream of an alternate reality in which that existed... definitely more inclusive.

They didn't have electric beaters, but they might have had mechanical beaters with gears and a handle though...... I'm pretty sure at least the victorians did otherwise rhe poor cooks arms would have fully died. Side note the reputation for British people having crap teeth is slightly from this period and the one before because sugar was introduced and became accessible and popular, teeth brushing was not a big thing. Sugar and no brushed teeth = rotten teeth. Also this extravagant diet often led to the ' disease of the rich' gout. Oops haha

Weird question - how would they have responded to someone who didn't want to drink all the alcohol? I'm totally there about the food, but alcohol does not make me feel good and I tend to avoid it. Would that be weird or worse - frowned upon? Anyone know?
