I’ve been doing carnivore for a year as well. I’ve been strictly meat and eggs for about 6 months now. I started very fat - around 310lbs and probably 40+% body fat. I’m now around 210lbs and 20% body fat. One thing I notice is that I have to constantly adjust my fat intake to meet goals. My goal is 15% body fat, and I do not care what my weight is. I stopped weighing myself about two months ago, when the scale weight stalled. Don’t focus on weight, focus on body composition and how you feel. I keep my protein levels the same daily ~190 grams, but the fat can range anywhere from 200-300 grams.

I'm just adding that I went carniv for 7mos because of leaky gut and started adding some fruit & veg for biome since carnivore didn't heal it. Unfortunately the fruit is causing sugar cravings now and I'm eating a little bit more of it as the weeks go by. I'm starting to walk it back right now. Some of us struggle with anything sweet & have to be careful
@JarinXeno7 күн бұрын
The easiest way is to cut all of it out cold. Trying to just restrict carbs makes the cravings worse. You have to get all of them out of your system so that your body will start using fat for fuel. If there is even a little bit of carbs in your system your body will not use your fat. It will instead try to make you eat more carbs by ramping up the cravings.

Your SO right. I was 156kg, got to a stable 88kg with zero issues, zero meds. That was 3 months ago, so now 20 months since I started Lion at 156kg. Started with Ice cream and chocolate 3 months ago. Ditched Ice cream, but still hyper addicted to chocolate. Now I’m 103.5kg I’ve decided the only way forward is to do what I did when I was 156kg (go lion for a strict 3 months), but do Carnivore with very limited dairy as I can’t say no to that, so my plan is not to buy any in the first place. If it’s not at home I won’t want it as bad. Psychology. It worked very well before, I’m sure I can knock it on the head again. I feel sick in the guts after eating chocolate, yet I keep going back for more. I know it’s destroying me, yet I keep going back. Food addiction is so god damm powerful.

Your new videos are much clearer, I don't know if it's due to better lighting or a new camera - but they are better. I got a good chuckle out of your avoided disaster while driving home. I went through those issues for about a month after starting the carnivore plan. I am nine months into carnivore now. I was getting a bit discouraged because I've been at a weight stall for months. Today I weighed in and have finally dropped another 5 pounds. I will stick with it because the other benefits are amazing - though the weight loss has slowed, I am shrinking in size and have had to buy new clothes, I have reversed type 2 diabetes, greatly improved muscle and nerve issues I was dealing with. Thank you for your inspiring videos. Merry Christmas!

Your video could not be more timely. January 1 I am starting the carnivore diet I have been on keto for the last three years and I have lost 150 pounds. However I’ve plateaued for the last six months. Then I started reading up on carnivore and I thought that will help me lose the last 50 pounds I want to lose, plus I think I can do so many other good things for me from what I’m reading. Your encouragement to at least just give it 30 days and see how I feel is great motivation. I spent the weekend cleaning out my refrigerator of all the crap I’m no longer going to eat. Thank you again for sharing your experience. I’m really pumped to get this started!

Here I am on Xmas Eve morning in NJ, drinking coffee gearing myself to start again in Jan. 25 I have been into this way for YEARS, actually when I watched Dr. Robert Lustig. Two years ago, moved to Florida, went hard core Carni and felt GREAT! Lost weight, had energy, got a job! Followed many KZbin Carni’s. Then… Helene/Milton hit FL… Sept/Oct 2024. Electric out for a month, no refridge, meat gone, AC gone, car flooded gone! I am 65, had to start eating crap food from National Guard. Those people wonderful BTW. Anyway, moved back to NJ near family and back to old way eating…feeling HORRIBLE, gained weight back, tired & everything aches. I know what to do, but I know I’m in for a withdraw like being on crack/alcohol. 😵 Everything this guy says is TRUE. Pick a day and start. I KNOW by end of Jan I’ll be feeling great again. 🤷♀️ People have been indoctrinated by food/pharma…getting rich. 😢

I successfully went on a majority carnivore diet, I wasn't even dogmatic, for like 3 weeks. My acne almost cleared up completely, my heartburn went away completely, my dyspnea never came back, my heart was never racing, i could go far longer without feeling hungry, and my bowel movements were so perfect I didn't even have to wipe (not joking). Then when Yuletide came I gorged on the usual crappy foods and deserts that's usually served, and immediately the day after did all my symptoms relapse. I've never seen such a fast and stark turn in my life. Now I'll pull together and do carnivore for real. I already now what just 2-3 weeks undogmatically looks like. Just imagine what it'll look like disciplined and for far longer.

Carnivore equals : Beef , Butter , Bacon , eggs and seafoods ... Be careful and make sure you buy the real Butter maybe look for grass fed cows with no added Sugars is your best buy ! For most of all of us on Ketovore limit your daily total carb intake under 50 grams of total carbs daily , myself I use the KISS Approach to my method and it means " Keep- It- Simple -Stupid " and always read those labels for Sugars and Added Sugars meaning it gives Big Foods the right to put in whatever they want to make it taste good just to get your money ! One of the best Doctor's on KZbin thats 100 percent trustworthy and speaks the honest Ketovore and or Carnivore is Dr. Ken Berry , I could give you a few more but im not here to plug other channels just giving you great honest facts ... Goodluck Everyone On Your New Journey On Eating The Proper Human Way Of Eating... I won't use the word Diet because its not ! Its The Right Way To Eat ... Thumbs Up Max , absolutely great work ! Doing 8 months of carb load and cutting down to carnivire is not healthy at all for regular people. Competitive bodybuilders nowadays r not normal people becoz they dont act normal, all they care for is big muscles even at the cost of good health. Books dont tell the actual story, experience is the best teacher. Keep doing carnivore❤

@ Thanks for the reply, that’s what I thought. I put all my pets on a strict carnivore diet this yeah after they were having so many issues with their health. Me and my family we eat beef, eggs and sometimes bacon. I give my pets chicken, pork , beef and sometimes salmon, they love it and they are thriving and healthy. On their last yearly checkup my vet was very happy that they are doing so well and that they don’t seem to have any of the previous issues anymore, but then she asked me about their diet and I told her. But then her tune changed and told me that they’re missing some key nutrients and that I should feed them processed food at least once a day, but my pets absolutely hate that stuff now. One of my pet was so sick they said he had no chance of life and that I should put him down but he has completely recovered, I told my vet this and she refused to accept that it was the carnivore diet but said it must’ve been a miracle (I mean wow!!) I know I’m giving them the right diet because it has transformed me and my family lives but I just wanted a second opinion. Again thanks for your reply and have a Merry Christmas.

Thanks for sharing ur experience max but let me tell u what u don't know. I'm a retired competitive bodybuilder and ull b shocked to know that the bodybuilders especially competitive ones eat loads of cabs 8 months out of year typically 60% carbs, 20% proteins and 10% fats and exactly 4 months out of their bodybuilding event they initially turn the knob to carnivore for 3 months and Atkins(80% fats, 20% proteins, 0%carbs). I won't suggest Atkins for regular people since its harmful. Its harmful but it does give super definition in competition. Imagine what risks these competitive bodybuilders take to win a show. As a retired competitive bodybuilder myself, I tell u my experience. The 8 months carb loading is a 2 way traffic. Strangely enough, carbs help one beef up plus loads of fat deposits but that's the physiology of muscle hypertrophy; u have max muscle gains with high carbs, the bad effect it has is fat bulk and stomach issues which u already mentioned. I told u guys this long story especially to gym people to b aware of how muscle grows. I'm not saying muscle won't grow on carnivore, it simple won't as much as with carb loads. The take home message is ; since not everybody wants to compete; just follow clean carnivore; fix all ur health issues and worry about gaining more muscle later. Thank u all for giving me a chance to give u knowledge based on experience like max❤

G'day Max and Merry Christmas ! My Nephew is also a lawyer (in Auckland) perhaps you know him (Andrew), year or 2 older than you... I'm also Carnivore, started about 5 years ago for chronic back pain i was taking pain pills for every 3-4 hours... figured I had to try something different as these pills were gonna kill me ! Stumbled across Carnivore (Jordan Peterson on Rogan), he was told to try it for a month so i did too, 3 weeks in all my back pain went away, but not just back, every part of my body no longer hurt or ached in any way ! I've had a few months off here and there since and paid the price every time I do (though back pain has never returned thankfully).... Now i'm strictly Carni and fasting .... i have a huge variety in food... beef or lamb (with butter) ! (slow cooked in the oven with beef dripping, salt and a cup of water). I'm eating once a day, not by will power, it's just i'm never hungry. Being free of thinking about food is a huge game changer ! I was invited out to a shared lunch on Sunday, looked at all the tables of processed garbage and said... " There's no food here!" (the look of shock on ppl was priceless), had some water and actually had a really good time. I wasn't hungry so no worries, and as i watched ppl get their desserts i saw so many clearly with aches and pains.... i've told so many how to be free from pain but it has to be a decision only they can make ! BTW, i had a similar experience (pre carni diet) on Auckland motorway re gut, unfortunately i didn't make it, as i listened to your story i was hoping you made it ok, believe me, the alternative is... unpleasant !

After one year of Keto, i back with more fruits and veggies, still feel normal after all. I think body must be flexible, I'm doing 18-20h fasting so maybe this is why I'm feeling good and going to gym most time. Most people saying I'm doing Carnivore for 5-7 years but what changing ? Totally nothing. They not gonna gain more muscle or have a better skin. All just need to get rid out trash food that is point. It is not incredibly difficult to lose weight if you eating veggies and meat. You ate trash food and your gut had a problem with that just simple explanation. Not 99% I can eat 1 or 2 fruits, some veggies and animal base products and still have no issues with gut. You talking in this video about all people, no bro, not all have a gut issues like you or other problems. Proper human diet you don't know that, 0 proofs, i would put a simple question why people who eating meat didn't reach over 100 years. Think about that. Even Massai tribes, or Eskimos. Think logical if carbs would be bad why ours body can break carbs, but can't break a fiber.. lol When you born what first thing you get from nature? Mother milk, not a meat. But in milk there is carbs too as protein, and fat. 3 things that body can use, but why body must use two things if it is make for three things. This is why we have pancreas we can measure or all time insuline if we want and check our mood everytime to understand how much we can eat carbs. Not veggies or fruits is bad you need to understand body mechanics how is working. How do you know how much protein or fat need your body? How much is healthy or not health? You don't know again no proof, yeah you will find on youtube some "experts" will tell you eat more protein eat more meat, eat more fats but well we don't know how much cell truly need...

"Proper human diet you don't know that, 0 proofs, " Stable nitrogen isotope testing does indeed prove that human were predominantly meat eaters, before agriculture was invented. "i would put a simple question why people who eating meat didn't reach over 100 years. Think about that. Even Massai tribes, or Eskimos" The average lifespan of those populations (before they were poisoned by western junkfoods) factored in infant deaths and tragic accident deaths. They did indeed have centenarians in those cultures. " Think logical if carbs would be bad why ours body can break carbs, but can't break a fiber.." The body can also break down alcohol and other toxins. Doesn't mean the body is meant to do so for health.
